No customer service
I normally love this app and use it all the time! But now my parents can’t make a payment through the app and I’ve tried to email customer support with no response. I have sent out multiple emails in a weeks time. And still nothing! It would be nice to have help figuring out why my stripe account disconnected… and I got ahold of stripe and they said it’s all on childrens journal side. So frustrating!

Adding a Parent
Just downloaded the app and trying to set up. It will not allow me to add a parent. Just keeping showing the “loading circle” and never comes up.
Want to love it! Notifications don’t ever work
My child’s home daycare provider chose this platform after I recommended another (used by a coworker’s child’s home daycare). The center we previously attended had their own app that worked well and I LOVED the notifications right on my watch, since I’m a laboratory scientist and can just look at the notification and keep going with my gloves and hazardous fluids, haha. Whelp, this app’s notifications NEVER notify! And this morning I showed up to daycare missing supplies and lost an hour of work (time = money people!) bc I had to drive back home and then back to the daycare to deliver the supplies. PLEASE FIX YOUR NOTIFICATIONS SO THAT THEY NOTIFY!!!!!!!!!! PLEEEAAASE!!! THAT will be worth a 5 star review 🙂 THANK YOU!

Great app
A super time-saver app
This app helps in updating the parents about their child's activitis at the center instantly and the pick-up process has become super easy too. plus i can send invoices, manage different locations, monitor room ratios and do a lot more much efficiently now
Payments and invoicing has become so easy.
Parents can pay fees online. This app lets me send invoices and recieve payments online from the parents.
No more late payments!
Sending paper invoices to each child earlier was a big task! plus sometimes parents would "CLAIM" not receiving them, but with child journal, I can send the invoices within the app as well as email it to the parents and they can pay online too. Managing payments is soooo much easier now!
Digital invoicing made my life easier
Working at a Montessori preschool you have parents picking up their children at different times. I had to stay after my time to ensure each parent was getting their invoice. So inconvenient! I no longer have to do that! I create digital invoices within the app and send them to each parent so that they could receive them in their email. It’s truly a lifesaver and a timesaver.

Saves on school supplies
Absolutely fascinated with the fact that I am now able to save money on resources. I no longer have to récord my tasks on paper. I simply open the app and everything is organized in one digital platform.
LONG WAY TO GO!
Great tool if the app worked more consistently. Push notifications don’t work. There is no option for group messaging to parents and the UI looks old school.
Trying it out
The usability seems to be ok. We have the ability to create an invoice but cannot take payments from parents. We look forward for the payment feature.
