My daughter is a level one autistic with adhd and severe dyslexia.

This application is so customizable, you can attach audio, pictures and video to the schedule. There’s also “if…. Then….”, wait timers with choices, emotional regulation charts with choices and social stories.

I cannot speak highly enough of this application that gives my child the ability to regulate and be independent.

Good App with bug in customisation

We are return users of the app, however I notice that there is a new bug and we are unable to create our own images/ icons as it keeps asking us to add a caption to the photo/ picture even when one has already been added.

Landscape mode?

Still trying to understand how to properly set this app up for my son. I want to install this on a wall mounted tablet and everything else that we use is setup for landscape mode. Does this app not allow that configuration?

Drains Battery

There is no way to allow the app to go into autolock within the apps settings. Right now if we have Choiceworks open, our device does not go into sleep mode, which is draining our battery pretty significantly. I spoke with Apple and there isn't anything we can do on our side the app setting overrides the general iPad settings. When I reached out to the developer regarding this setting they believe it is a visual schedule and should always be in view for the user and would only look into addressing it if they received volumes of concern.

When utilizing digital supports battery life should always be considered. These are a lot of individuals lifeline. If they removed this override setting from the app, individual users could adjust and choose their own setting for auto lock features, like TouchChat and other digitalsupports allow. Its upsetting that Choiceworks does not see this as an issue to be addressed in their app. Unfortunately, I cannot utilize this app and all its great qualities because it will drain the device that usually holds a charge for days within hours.

Hello, Family of Five. I am the developer of Choiceworks. You have never contacted me, so I’m unclear about this review. Our app is certainly not a one-star app. We have been highly dedicated to its evolution for over 20 years. Regarding draining the iPad battery, in the last 10 years, we’ve received three users identifying this as an issue, including your review on the App Store. I’m unclear why, if you’re using a visual schedule, you would not want the visual schedule visible to the user at all times since that is best practice, not just belief. However, you can swipe out of the app when you don’t want it visible to the user. If you are using a timer, the timer will still work effectively this way. I have to charge my iPad at least 4 times daily, and I don’t run Choiceworks on it. I wish you had contacted us directly because I don’t even know who I’m speaking to, and it’s unfortunate that you felt the need to leave this negative one-star review. Great for visual schedule

I’ve been a practicing SLP for 24 years. During Covid saw this app being used on some tele therapy training. I’ve used it ever since on all sessions. All my clients benefit from this and it helps this therapist stay on track as well. Highly recommend especially working with pediatric clients.

Library won’t load, can’t use app

Really want to use the app, however library won’t load and app can’t open without it. Have made several attempts to download app. Email address for support doesn’t work either. Would love to try app if anyone can help please.

Great Schedule App for Special Son

Just love the flexibility, easy to use add your own pictures if not in their library! Definitely a game changer in our son’s daily life! Used by school and home keeps things consistent. Easy to use highly recommend and also recommend their Calendar App!

Awesome

I use this app for my work in behavioral therapy with children and families. It is an amazing resource and has steadily improved since I first downloaded it. I recommend this for anyone working with children or adults who benefit from its structure and visual nature. I especially would recommend it for parents who want to help their children succeed and feel accomplished in their daily lives.

Problem

I bought this app to help my son with organization and having a schedule to follow, but I am unable to add tasks or activities. Everything just shows up blank. Please help.

Great tool for therapists/teachers

As a behavioral therapist I use this app daily. I love that I can have profiles for each client, even multiple for clients! You can take and upload your own pictures, audio, and video. Cannot recommend more!

Very beneficial

I am a behavior technician/ ABA therapist and I use this app with many of my clients. It is very intuitive and has been very useful. The library has a good amount of pictures to use and I really like the ability to take your own pictures (and videos!) as well as being able to add timers.
