About

ChompChart is a calorie and macro tracker that refuses to lock your own goals behind a subscription. Most trackers charge you to change your protein target. ChompChart doesn't — editable calorie and macro goals are free, forever. Log food the way that fits the moment: • Scan a barcode — 3M+ products from the Open Food Facts catalog, with USDA generic foods as a fallback. • Search a huge food database for anything without a barcode. • Add it manually in seconds, by servings, grams, or ounces. • Snap a photo of your plate and let AI estimate the calories and macros. • Just say what you ate — "two eggs, sourdough, and a black coffee" — and it's transcribed, parsed, and logged. Built around your goals: • Editable daily calorie and macro targets — always free. • Smart goal setup: enter your stats and ChompChart estimates your calories, macros, and a realistic goal date — adjust the date and recalculate anytime. • A clean Today screen with a calorie ring, macro bars, and a weigh-in card. • A diary that groups each day by meal — breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks — with per-meal calories and macros; edit or delete any entry, with a logging streak. • Weight tracking with a trend chart, written back to Apple Health. • Insights: see your average intake vs. goal over 7, 30, or 90 days (incomplete days don't skew the numbers). • Optional water logging, favorites, recents, recipes, and saved meals. • A Today-at-a-glance home screen widget. Apple Health, done right: • Reads your steps, workouts, and active energy to show the full picture. • Optionally adds a chosen percentage of your WORKOUT calories back to your budget — not inflated daily-activity numbers. • Writes the nutrition and weight you log back to Apple Health so your whole health story stays in one place. • Import your existing weight and nutrition history from Apple Health, or from a CSV exported by another app. Private by design: • Your log syncs through YOUR private iCloud (CloudKit) — not our servers. • Sign in with Apple is optional and used only for sync. • No ads. No third-party analytics. No tracking. Ever. Free vs. ChompChart Plus: Core tracking is free forever — editable goals, barcode scanning, search, manual logging, Apple Health sync, weight tracking, insights, and the widget. ChompChart Plus unlocks AI photo logging and AI voice logging — the features that actually cost us to run. Requires iPhone on iOS 18 or later. Nutrition estimates from AI and databases are approximate and not medical advice. Nutrition data © Open Food Facts contributors (ODbL). Generic foods from USDA FoodData Central.
