Useless

If you are a doubler and need to find a quick voicing for a written chord, this will not help. It seems to feel it’s more useful for you to enter fingerings and it will tell you what you played.

love the app Emily

the best app around !

Very useful app

There are many times I have a chord on the fretboard I am struggling to identify. This app solves the problem. It shows the chord name along with the alternate names. For example G6 and Emin7. Clicking on the chord name displays the tab forms across the neck. Adding a staff to display the notes picked on the fretboard will make this app perfect. Add a setting to hide it for those that don’t want to see it along with the fretboard. Please consider this enhancement.

This is a wonderful resource for naming, constructing and deconstructing chords.

What a wonderful resource to have when writing music. It’s easy to use when voicing chords and it offers different options to create the them as well.

Didn’t know

That was a waist of money

Chord Finder

Fantastic app a must for all skill levels

Updated: Some Tunings Commonly Incorrect

Frustrating… This app isn’t useful for anything I’ve been doing.

Update: I was contacted about which tunings were needed to make this more usable and more common tunings were added to the app. I haven’t tried it yet but I’m good now. That was quick, thanks!

Response from developer

Hi VisuMetal, Can you please send us an email to support@emsi.eu and give us some specific example of wrong notes so we can try to resolve this issue?

Chord Finder is a must for guitar players

Quite an App. Very useful iF you are looking for/checking chords.

Pretty good!

Have been looking for names of a few chords I’ve been experimenting with. Some chords for songs on the internet don’t sound right. Very useful if you want to try some some jazzy stuff. I am no expert though!😀

Mostly amazing.

This app has some strange limitations which I wasn't expecting from an app of this kind. For example, you will plug in different 3-note shapes (skipping strings or not) and it won't be able to find, or name chords that match the notes.

On the flip side, when it does identify the notes—which it usually does—it will give you a huge, useable selection of chord qualities and different voicings. Super solid app with some odd shortcomings.

Note to dev: a "clear all notes" button would be sweet (unless I missed it somewhere).

Worth the $6 for sure.

Best chord finder

You can find chords in a lot of different tunings.Great!

No explanation available on how to use this

No help no support no directions on how to use this app. What do the yellow symbols mean etc

Response from developer

Hi, sorry for the inconvenience. The yellow symbol means the corresponding note is the root note of the chord. Please drop us a line at support@emsi.eu and we'll be happy to assist you.

No sound on chord app? Odd

Paid good money for this but having downloaded it from the App Store there is no sound. Slightly odd from a chord app as there is a volume slider but it has no effect.
Waiting to hear from developers otherwise it’s a refund request to App Store.

Response from developer

Hi, can you please check if the volume isn't too low or the side switch is set to mute?
