What's New in CineFlo

1.15.0

July 22, 2026

What's New - On-set timecode capture (experimental): CineFlo can now read the live SMPTE timecode a Tentacle Sync generator broadcasts over Bluetooth and stamp it onto a take — so a completed shot carries the frame-accurate timecode your camera and sound are jammed to, giving editorial a real reference instead of a hand-typed number. Turn it on with the new Capture Timecode (Tentacle Sync) toggle under Enable Experimental Tools in Settings. A live timecode chip appears in the shot header, and marking a shot complete captures the current timecode onto the take. Nudge a late capture with a slider, steppers, or direct HH:MM:SS:FF entry, re-capture for a retake, or clear it — and it records the frame rate and drop-frame flag alongside, warning if the generator's rate disagrees with the shot's camera. Requires the latest app update (native feature); no effect on the web app. - Take timecode in exports: captured timecode and its frame rate are now included in the CSV export and the PDF shot report (which gains an On the Day section), so on-set timecode can actually reach editorial. - Drag to reorder shots: in the single-column shot list (Details view, sorted by shot number), hold the grip on any shot card and drag it into a new position. On drop, the scene's shots are renumbered in sequence to match — following your project's numbering convention (lettered A, B, C… or numbered 1, 2, 3…, honoring "exclude I/O") — so dropping a new shot into the middle of a coverage plan shifts everything after it down by one automatically. Custom and pickup names (PU1, INS-3) keep their name and their dragged slot while the sequence flows around them. The new order syncs to collaborators, with an Undo toast since the change fans out. - In-app feedback & support: Send Feedback and Contact Support (Settings → Support & Easter Eggs) now open a composer inside the app instead of handing off to a mail app. Your app version, platform, OS version, and device model are attached automatically, and replies go straight back to your account email. - Three new themes - Tungsten, Cyan & Studio: Tungsten is a warm amber-lit dark (our first warm working theme), Cyan a cool teal dark, and Studio a crisp vibrant light with indigo, coral, and mint accents. The theme picker (Settings → Theme) is now a fullscreen screen of live preview tiles grouped by System / Light / Dark / Seasonal, so you can see a theme's actual colors before selecting it. - New Legal & Licenses screen in Settings listing the open-source software CineFlo uses. Improvements - The On-the-Day quick edit is now fullscreen: long-pressing a shot opens take entry (status, take/circle/roll, per-camera-slot fills, and timecode) edge-to-edge with Save in the header, instead of the old bottom sheet — more room for the camera-slot controls, and consistent with the app's other fullscreen editors. Scene and shot auto-numbering now defaults on for new installs, along with "exclude I/O letters." If you've already set these yourself, your choice is preserved. Timecode Bluetooth scanning is battery-conscious — it only runs while a shot is open and pauses in the background. If Bluetooth permission is denied or off, the timecode status now offers an Open Settings shortcut — iOS never re-prompts once you've declined. Fixes Fixed reference photos sometimes appearing broken when a project was opened on a different device.
