City Whisper 1.1.0 makes hearing a story as you pass a street corner more complete. • Passing reminders: After you choose to enable location and notifications, select Instant, Later Summary, or Quiet. A notification can open the matching story as you pass nearby. • More city content: Explore 1,427 place-based stories across 12 cities, with source links and tappable term notes. The interface and content support Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese (Taiwan/Hong Kong), and English (US/UK). • City Journals: Follow curated collections that connect places and stories within each city. • Echoes: Discover recurring themes and urban patterns across cities. • Private diary: Passing only means nearby. A story enters your diary only after you tap “I’m Here” at the place and pass the distance check. • Content updates: New and revised stories can arrive directly, while cached stories and illustrations remain available offline. • Clearer settings and guide: Updated explanations for reminder modes, frequency, permissions, driving detection, background use, content updates, and privacy. • Reliability improvements: Refined launch behavior, location fallback, notification routing, content updates, and English layouts. Our privacy approach is unchanged: precise location, coarse driving detection, and personal records are processed on your device. The server only delivers content and illustrations. There are no accounts or ads, and your location is not shared with third parties. You can still choose cities, search, read, save, and share without enabling location.
