The Best City Mapper
Been using this app since 2019 and it’s very convenient when it comes to travelling whether it’s via bus, train or just simply walking.
Great app but unhappy about them selling user data
You have tried to gamify the app to much. As such paid users have not materialised. Now you have to sell user data to who knows what.
I paid for a premium subscription but the value was not there. Come on guy! do not go down the route of selling our data. Just create a product people are willing to pay for. Just use an AI bot to brainstorm some ideas.
Or even better just ask users what they want and built it. I would love to be able to have a Journal for trip notes and planning. I would love to have Wikipedia and similar articles I can read in the app before I get to my destination. You guys can partner with money suppermarket and during commute give users opens to switch their energy supplier. I would love to have To Do’s in the app so when I commute I know that I have X minutes to get things done and the app can tell me you have 20 minutes till your destination. Why dont you get 2-3 tasks done and free up your day. You can partner with Waze so whenever users drive cars they still have the ecosystem the same way.
Please be an innovative company and do not just search for the lazy way out and sell all our data to strange companies.

Sometimes it’s too confusing to find the route
Especially when we have to change from one bus station to another
For international people it’s hard to find

Great from point to point BUT doesn’t consider the nuance of tube issues
Real time variance
Always shows 4/5 mins difference from actual time

Too slow. Drains the battery. Mostly terrible navigation.
Not as good
I find the map suggesting long walks often past bus stops with buses going by that can be used to get to transfers quicker. No optional for dark mode either.

I saw a review that said as a New Yorker, this is the app you need, nothing else. That reviewer was absolutely right. I use this app for all of my travel and it takes me the fastest and best route possible. 10/10

Excellent App
The best app for public transport in big cities. I find it particularly useful for bus and train routes in both my home city of london and any other big city I’ve travelled to for leisure or work.

City mapper could get me out of the 9th circle of hell in 43 minutes walking
