Can’t update maps anymore
I’ve got latest version of app on iPhone 17 , can’t update any of the maps or download them. It gets stucked on 13% update download for a map then crashes. It’s been doing that for weeks :/

Needs Updating
None of the streets and roads and parks and many other things are showing up on the map now. It reads that the last time it was updated. It was four years ago, do not get this app until they update, otherwise it will be useless.
Great when it works…
I’ve been a user of this app since 2015 with hundreds of pins logged all over the world. Over the years, for various issues, I have gone back and forth between the “normal” and “Pro” versions of this app since they never seem to be both working at the same time. Offline maps feature no longer functional. Nowadays travel with a WiFi hotspot which allows the app to remain useful. Still have an issue where the app randomly fails to load any map data, just my saved pins displayed on a blank background. Only solution is to delete the app and reinstall. That’s when I’m glad my pins are saved to the Ulmon cloud. Used to be great app, glad it’s still limping along.

Complete trash, non existent support
Used to be good. Now most maps won’t download especially the region and country maps. Support is non existent. Won’t respond to repeated emails. App was last updated 4 years ago which probably tells you how little interest they have in supporting this app or their customers. Don’t bother wasting your time, just get a data SIM and use Google maps.

Limited Obsevation
I didn’t explore this app thoroughly, as I was stunned to see that Landscape Arch, in central Utah, was the photo of display when I searched for the Grand Canyon, which is in central Arizona and bears no resemblance to Landscape Arch. I would never confidently trust information from an app that makes such a blunder.
The app does have pretty pictures, but ‘of what’ I could never be sure.

Good to have ‘offline’ maps for when travelling. BUT… you have to connect to mobile!?!!
Used this app for years and great for travel when data is an issue. But. And a big but… you need to turn mobile data on for a bit to be able to even see the supposedly downloaded maps. So it’s not really that useful u less you have data roaming. So… why? Why make it like that. Destroys the purpose.

Seit ich die Citymap2go App 2012 auf meiner Australienreise entdeckt habe, ist sie mein ständiger Begleiter auf Reisen und Ausflügen
– sowohl für geplante Urlaube als auch für spontane Ausflüge in meiner Umgebung. Besonders gefällt mir die Möglichkeit, besuchte Orte zu markieren und Wunschziele unabhängig von einer konkreten Reiseplanung zu speichern bzw einen Punkt zu setzen. So ist beispielsweise jeder besuchte Ort mit einem lila Stern und jeder Wunschort mit einem gelben Stern markiert. So entdecke ich immer wieder neue Orte, die ich später gezielt besuchen kann.
Ein riesiger Pluspunkt: Die App funktioniert komplett offline! Kein Datenvolumen, keine lokale SIM-Karte nötig – einfach die Region herunterladen und per GPS navigieren. Die Karte zeigt jederzeit den eigenen Standort und erleichtert die Orientierung enorm. Es sind sehr oft die kleinsten Wege in der Karte sichtbar. Dies ist ebenfalls Hilfreich, falls man mal keine Internetempfang in abgelegeneren Orten hat.
Zusätzlich bietet die App zu jedem Ort zahlreiche Infos: Hotels, Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants – sogar Street Art ist verzeichnet! In Albanien hätten wir ohne die App viele beeindruckende Murals gar nicht gefunden.
Ich nutze seit Jahren die Pro-Version, aber auch die kostenlose Variante ist absolut empfehlenswert. Eine durchdachte, zuverlässige und detailreiche App, die ich jedem Reise- oder Entdeckungsfreudigen nur wärmstens ans Herz legen kann!

Wouldn’t open when I needed it
I had just opened it the day before and all was well, then when I needed it in Rome, it wouldn’t open and told me I needed to upgrade (which I’d already done). Wish it worked like it used to.
Best App EVER
This is hands-down, the best app of all time. Words cannot explain how much it will change your life with travel. I hope that they never ever discontinue it. Please keep it going!
