About

Block distracting apps with a tag you choose. clank blocks the apps and websites you select. Pair an NFC tag or a printed QR tag, then leave it somewhere you have to get up for. Scan the same tag inside clank when you want your apps back. Free to download and use. No subscription or account required. Use a compatible NFC tag you own, or create and print a QR tag in the app. No Clank accessory is required. How it works 1. Allow Screen Time access and choose which apps and websites to block. 2. Pair a compatible NFC tag or a QR tag created in clank. 3. Scan your tag inside clank to block your selection. Scan it again to unclank. Keep the apps you need Create a mode for work, study, evenings or sleep. Choose a different block list for each mode and leave useful apps available. Set a time to unclank Once your tag is paired, start a timed clank without scanning it. Your apps come back when the timer ends. Set schedules for the days and times you choose. Make it harder to back out Strict mode restricts installing and deleting apps while clanked, including clank itself. Five emergency unclanks are included for urgent access or a missing tag. See your clanked time Review your sessions and the time you spent with distractions blocked, day by day and week by week. Keep your habits private Your modes, schedules and session history stay on your devices. No account or analytics. NFC works on supported iPhones with compatible tags. iPad uses QR tags. Screen Time permission and a paired tag are required for blocking, including timed clanks and schedules. QR tags use the camera inside clank. A copy works as the same tag, so keep copies out of reach too.
