About

Clareia is a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) journal to help you understand your thoughts, name your emotions and follow your emotional progress over time — with real privacy, not just promised privacy. HOW IT WORKS With each entry, Clareia guides you through the classic CBT method: • Situation: what happened • Automatic Thought: what went through your mind • Emotion and initial intensity: what you felt, and how strongly • Evidence for and against that thought • Thinking Traps: identify common cognitive distortions • Alternative Thought: a more balanced way of seeing the situation • Behaviour and final intensity: what you did, and how the emotion felt afterwards • Summary: see it all together at the end TRACK YOUR PROGRESS In the insights panel, Clareia shows your thought patterns, how your emotions evolve and comparisons between entries — so you can see progress that no single entry reveals. EXTRA TOOLS • Imagery Tools: guided techniques for automatic thoughts that show up as mental images rather than words • First Step: break big tasks into steps small enough to start today REAL PRIVACY Your entries are protected with end-to-end encryption: the content is encrypted on your device with a privacy password only you know, before it ever leaves your phone. Not even Clareia can read what you write. YOU DECIDE WHAT LEAVES HERE If you are in therapy, you can show your entries to your psychologist — and the control is entirely yours: • Who: the connection only happens if you generate the code, and you see the professional's name before releasing anything • What: only aggregate patterns, without the text you wrote, or specific entries you pick one by one • How long: access expires on its own, and you can end it earlier at any time Nothing is sent without you confirming with your privacy password. The "Who saw my data" screen keeps a history of everything you have shared. You can use Clareia as a guest, without creating an account, or sign in with Google or Apple to sync your entries across devices. Clareia shows no ads, does not sell your data and uses no advertising tracking. Clareia does not provide diagnoses, does not replace therapy or medical care, and is not intended for emergencies. It is intended for users aged 16 and over.

What's New in Clareia

1.10.0

September 13, 2026

This update brings a lot of new things since the last App Store version. PROFESSIONAL MODE If you're in therapy, you can now show your entries to your therapist. You generate a code, choose what to share (just the patterns, without your text, or specific entries you pick one by one), set how long, and confirm with your privacy passphrase. Access expires on its own and you can end it earlier. The "Who has seen my data" screen keeps the history. On the professional's side, the history reopens a share that is still valid, and the screen closes right away when the client ends access. NEW TOOLS • "Hard moment" button on the home screen, for when things get tough • One-tap mood thermometer • "What I want to talk about" list, to bring to your session • Five new CBT tools, including Day structure, with a color for each tool • Exercises agreed with your professional, with a due date and reminder EASIER TO USE • You choose the shortcuts on the home screen • Patterns and thinking traps come first in the Overview • Notifications open the right tool directly PRIVACY PASSPHRASE If you forgot your passphrase, you can now get back into the app with a new one. Entries written with the old passphrase are not deleted: if you remember it later, you can bring them back under "Recover older entries", at the end of the Overview. FIXES Action bar hidden behind the keyboard, the First Step count, an error when saving a resumed First Step, and entries saved twice by an extra tap.
