FileMaker war mal ne richtig gute Sache. Hatte Ende der 90er meine Buchhaltungssoftware damit selbst geschrieben. Danach meine Netzwerkverwaltung. Doch FileMaker hat sich seitdem kaum weiterentwickelt und ist heute nicht mehr zu gebrauchen. Es fehlen grundlegende Dinge, wie eine moderne Skriptsprache und Schnittstellen zu anderen Ressourcen. Habe daher seit gut zehn Jahren dann aufgehört, FileMaker an Kunden zu empfehlen.

bearbeitete Dateien lassen sich nicht mehr exportieren. App-Absturz! DRINGEND Nachbesserung erforderlich. Wenn das wieder geht, alles top.

Really? The new iOS date picker couldn’t have been added? In three years?
Datenexport und -speichern funktioniert nicht mehr
Ich war sehr lange ein begeisterter Anwender von FileMaker Go. Seit neuestem sind aber meine Daten auf dem iPad gefangen (iPadOS 17.4). Bei jedem Versuch, eine Datenbank abzuspeichern, zu versenden oder Daten daraus zu exportieren, stürzt die App gnadenlos ab. Damit sind aber nicht nur die Daten nicht mehr anderweitig nutzbar, zusätzlich kann ich natürlich auch keine Verbesserungen mehr an der Datenbank selbst auf meinem Mac durchführen.

Clumsy controls
This app is poor on ergonomics. There is a tiny touch control at the bottom intended to go from record to record. You may need to try ita dozen or more times before it actuates the change,

Impossible to install on an ipad
The app requires registration and requests a registration code sent to your email. When you leave the app to check your email to get the code, upon returning to the app to enter the code the app refreshes the screen and loses the code input field, so it is impossible to enter the authentication code if you are using a single device. The work-around is to buy two iPads. One for reading emails and one for running FileMaker Go.

Outdated
Unfortunately this app requires purchase of FileMaker Pro to actually create tables and views. That program lags way behind modern SQL and noSQL databases and is buggy and non standard. On top of that, the commands on the mobile version often do not work. For instance, location data fails. You cannot enable location services for FileMaker go in recent IOS releases.

Too Slow and Clunky
App feels like it was made in 1999. Even on gigafiber wifi its so slow.
Garbage
This app is slower than a snail with down syndrome. Save yourself some time and frustration and find a different application to use. You and your employees can thank me later.
Update Ruined App
Update has made the app no longer connect via 4G/5G on iPhone. It is now unusable for my work.
App is freezing
The new update need a new update to fix the freezing issue.

Made my day impossible
Upgraded to FM Sserver at great cost to connect my FMGO app. Now unable to connect under 4g. This must fixed asap as my app is now useless.
Super slow connection as well
This latest 19.6.1 release is causing huge problems for our 50 remote iPad users. For some they’re telling me it’s almost not usable. This is a big concern since our users are in a CRM application many times a day. We have a hosted FileMaker database that runs well except with remote iPads running this latest release. We had no problems with the earlier versions of FM Go. Hope this can get fixed soon! Thanks!

No insert from device
Unable to insert from device. iphone doesn’t even request permission to use camera or photos.
Super slow connection
With 19.6.1 a server hosted database now takes a full minute to connect. Was about 5 seconds before. No change has been made to the database. So its all thanks to the ‘bug fixes’.
Also Broken
A recent update has broken iPhone connection to my solution. Updated server software but no difference. No excuse for braking a what was for the last year a very stable and reliable connection.
V19.6 broken
Suddenly with version 19.6 I can no longer connect to my FMS. Version 19.5 was OK, and v18 is also still OK. No error generated, it just hangs
