Exactly what NIM should be 👍🏼
I’m going to teach NIM to a group of students of mine (2nd graders) and have them analyze the game on their own terms. This app will be perfect for it.
For the most challenging setting I recommend “Randomize Board” ON, and
“Who Goes First” RANDOM
If “Computer Difficulty” is set to HARD, the computer will play the optimal game to win, so one mistake on your end and you are toast. I haven’t checked how well the computer plays in MEDIUM.
A couple small suggestions:
1) increase number of heaps and/or add setting to select number of heaps
2) add setting that lets one select who wins when picking the last piece (this shouldn’t affect the programming too much as it only affects the “end game”)

Great game!
Very cool game. My geometry teacher offered us an A on a test if we could beat him. I didn’t during the school term, but I found a BASIC programming book, programmed it into my computer, then figured out how the computer beat me. It would be so much more fun if there was more than one way to guarantee a win, but it is fun challenging myself to see if my unknowing opponents can figure out what is going on. Most of the time I can deceive them.Otherwise, I just go to that same first move to guarantee a win

Nimtastic!
Great Nim game! If there were a way to choose who moves first, it’d be a five star Nim!
Great App!!
I love playing this app!
It helps me practice my game.
I wish it had a “concede” button for when you know you’re beat, but other than that it’s wonderful.

Updates reveal improvements
I like the game. I wrote an earlier review asking for stats to be added. They were. I also said I would also like if the stones could be either horizontal or vertical. And now they are.
My only current suggestion, and it is a small one, is that I wish the stones were lined up on the left side and not on the right. I think it’s just because I read left to right.
Thanks for the improvements!

Good
You should add a mode where it randomizes the settings (who goes first, how many piles, how many stones in a pile, maximum stones removed)
Edit:
Good job.

Good job.
Winning part needs work
I've played a few rounds and I've noticed when the computer won it would say "Player 1 Wins" but when I win it says "Computer wins"
Nim
This is a fun game to play and with some practice you can win. This only got two stars because the computer does not follow the same rules you're limited to. When I set the number of blocks removable per move to 3 it would be able to remove 4 and the same happened with other settings. Get this bug fixed and it will be a great game

Can't win
They way they designed the app you go first and no matter what you do you will lose because your working in groups of 4 so no mater how much you take where you take it from you will lose because the person who goes second always wins so I take 2 computer takes 2 I take 1 computer takes 3, you just can't win you have to go second.

Fun game
Good version of Nim. Still trying to learn how to win... Play on!
Nim
My old math teacher taught me this game and since that I have not stop playing it. The only issue I have with it is it's way too easy. I would have put 5 stars but I need to get better to beat my old teacher (who has never been beaten) and it does not really help me even on the hardest difficulty. They should put multiplayer and I would gladly pay 2 dollars for this
