Battery Drain?
I had some severe battery drain but I’m not certain it is the fault of this application. It may have contributed to the problem but was definitely not the main problem.

Casting is difficult
What happened to the “cast symbol in the app? It’s very difficult to get this app to connect to a Bluetooth speaker now. Using iPhone’s setting isn’t always effective. Most radio apps have a readily apparent cast symbol to send to Bluetoth. Otherwise, always appreciate the programming on Calm.
New version only works on iPad bought in the last 21 months
The new update requires an iPad that has been purchased after October 2022. News flash, I don’t buy a new iPad every 2 years so the ipad I bought 3 years ago, no longer works with your app.
And yes, I did see an option to select if my ipad was older which I selected and the app still doesn’t work.
Thankfully, there are other apps that are as good as yours, and better, and won’t require me to be so incredibly wasteful as to have to buy a new device every few years.

Purged by Classical King FM
Sad to see that Classical King FM no longer wants long time listeners or subscribers. They have updated their App to serve iOS 16 or higher, which eliminates a significant audience.
I hope their tech personnel will replace lost contributions. Good job on fixing what wasn’t broke.

the updated app shows the current tune playing in such small font it is unreadable.
Crashes always.
They cleaned up the interface but now crashes 100% of the time on iOS 12.5.7 on my iPod, which is the latest and greatest for the device. Unusable.
Also, on my iPhone, the revised app works but the streaming screen display the composer and performer but not the name of the piece.

I’ve been enjoying this station for 30 years, the change to listener supported a wise and much appreciated move…their love for strings is real!!!

I love being connected to the music, but the connection frequently disconnects.
Enough already.
For the love of God, please make this app work in landscape mode (it’s annoying to always have to turn my iPad to use this app—I never use portrait mode)!

No on demand
Terrible app in general and on demand content is listed but missing. Also missing from their website.
Great station, horrible app
No ipad app, only portrait mode, little useless articles on main page, no easy view of current work playing, hasn't been updated in 3 years. I end up listening to KUSC on my ipad, only because they have a polished app. It's unfortunate, since the KING desktop site has a nice separate window with controls and the composer/work info prominently shown. Good app=more people listening at pledge drive time.

Privacy issue: King FM reads your clipboard
Beginning with iOS 14, I get an iOS popup ("King FM pasted from <app>") whenever King FM version 3.2.1 moves to the foreground, telling me that King FM is reading my clipboard. This is even though I have not tried to paste anything into it. Since King FM hasn't been updated in about 2 years, it has been doing this to all of us for at least that long, and silently before iOS 14 started telling us. I'm sure that we all copy and paste information that is no business of King FM's developer, yet this developer has been silently slurping it all up until recently, for undocumented purposes. Because of this, I am deleting this app until 1) the developer Jacobs Media (jacapps) comes clean on this practice, tells us precisely why and for what purpose it has been doing this, and posts an update that fixes this privacy problem; or 2) Apple releases an updated iOS that gives us the ability to block this type of behavior. These actions may not be enough, given that Jacobs Media has already abused its trust. Do you copy passwords or other sensitive text to your clipboard? Do you copy photos with sensitive GPS location information in them? If so, then you should worry about this too.

Best Classical App
Wonderful music, especially at Christmas. Stripped down app just gives essentials. Works cleanly on CarPlay. How refreshing compared to other bloated music apps out there. Thank you King-FM! I live 3,000 miles from Seattle, but I feel the warmth of your great music!

I’ve used this for sometime from the UK and Spain. There is plenty on here to please any classical music fan.
LATEST UPDATE LARGE BUG 12/2/16
PLEASE FIX...
I am a sustaining member and downloaded the latest app update. I have an iPad 4 and iPhone 7. For any channel other than the main KING FM channel, if the screen goes to sleep or I lock the screen, the app stops playing. As long as I have the screen active and the equipment unlocked the other channels will continue to play - Evergreen, Christmas, 2nd Inversion etc. Needless to say this results in the great sucking battery sound and is frustrating.
