Clear is fine, app is trash
While I don’t have any issue with Clear as a service the app is total trash. It says my KTN is expired, yet it doesn’t expire until 2031. And no matter what i do, even if i go outside the facial recognition doesn’t work….
Experiencing some friction
I got a voucher to try CLEAR in an email from a friend. Signing up initially was easy. Not its time to make it actually useful by downloading the app, having my face photographed, and uploading my passport. Well since this is an ipad, i’m stuck at the point where the “phone” has to scan a chip in the passport. The ipad doesn’t scan any chips like that. There is no other option but to exit the process. I suppose everything else about the app is nice and accessible. But i will most likely still have to go to the airport desk and get some help in person.

Can't even open App
Tried to make my trip to the airport as seamless as possible, but it is NOT completely possible because the app won't even open fully. First time user and I am frustrated by this confusing bug. App automatically crashes after attempting to use. Please fix.

Misleading App
No where does it say anything about in app purchases. Yet they try and lock you in to high fee at enrollment.
Guest enrollment process is scammy
Not an app issue, but the enrollment process for a “free” guest pass seems to be a scam. During the guest enrollment process, there was never a place to enter the promo code and get the free pass. It just took the credit card and charged the full annual fee. What a scam! There might be a way to make this work, but CLEAR makes it exceedingly difficult.

Worst app ever facial recognition is god awful I’ve tried for 20 minutes to get it to work on my phone and it doesn’t work ridiculous app I hate it

It defeats the purpose of paying for CLEAR when the CLEAR line for Alaska at SAN is a 15 minute walk in both directions from the airline gates
First class feel
Every experience I’ve had with Clear has been great and makes you feel like you are a first class customer.
The people are very friendly and eager to provide service and the speed of getting through security lines is quick and less cumbersome.
