I’m not sure if our apartment complex lucked out, but the app works great for us here in this small complex. It tells me when it’s ready, whatever $$ is left over - it’s there, and it’s connected every time. Based on the reviews, I was super worried. However, many ppl in the complex use our small laundromat here. Price is great, mamas happy.

Every week I leave a dollar on the CLEAR token app so I can use it next time, and every single time I come back it’s gone. Money just disappears with no clear explanation. It feels misleading and unreliable when you expect your balance to stay there and it doesn’t. A token app should be simple: if I leave money on it, it should still be there when I return. Instead it feels like I’m constantly paying into a void. Fix the disappearing balance issue and be transparent about where users’ money is going.

Worked great!
I like how it will tell you when your load is done. Very convenient. And I feel like the price for doing laundry was very good.
Terrible app
The customer support on this app is next to nothing. I’ve left multiple messages through text and the website asking for support. I have a new phone with a new number and there is no way to create a new account and therefore transfer the funds. I have to keep using the old phone I have, which I really need to get rid of but can’t because it’s the only way I can do laundry at this apartment. I am really frustrated with ClearToken.

Glitchy and slow
Incredibly glitchy and slow. Frustrating when this app is required to just do laundry.
Unreliable and expensive
When it works it’s fine. But there will be a time when it processes your payment but errors out, and you never get refunded. Email them to get your money back - you may or may not.

It’s not applicable with iPhones. I downloaded the app. Added money, bought $6 laundry soap and it doesn’t work.
Restarted my phone like the instructions suggest. Turned my wifi and Bluetooth on and off multiple times. It’s the largest version and here we are without clean laundry. I carted a whole basket down for no reason.

Super glitchy
Super glitchy app. Connections issues often and my token/money get taken when machines don’t start. Avoid this app if you can.
Forced to add 10$
They force you to add money in increments of $10, but I will only need to do laundry here once so kind of a ripoff. Their whole ui screams scam.

I am very easy to get along with and understand that things happen. But I have been using this for sometime now and doing it for a friend and he pays me via cash app and then I take that Cash App money and put it into the ClearToken account. To make a longer story short I had originally called Cash App to see what was going on because it shows ClearToken has that money pending since Monday. The man that I talked to at CT about it kept interrupting me and would not let me explain to him what was going in. And took no blame and put it all off on Cash App and said that I wouldn’t use them in he were me. Well from the looks of the reviews on here, ClearToken is the problem. From now on, I am only using quarters. I hope that guy was not the owner because that was the worst Customer Service I think I have ever had. And I’ve been working in Customer Service for 30 years and I would never speak to somebody the way he spoke to me. Extremely rude and wouldn’t even shut up for five minutes to let me talk. Definitely do not use them.

Cost of 1 load (soap, washer, dryer) = $10.50. But must load money onto the app in $10 increments, so they take almost 100% profit- greedy people. I will avoid them, now that I know
Fraud
This app is a straight up fraud. You deposit money onto your account to use to pay for laundry machines. The company then makes monthly withdrawals from your account with no explanation. They just take money from your account with no notice or agreement. Nowhere does it say there is any kind of fee or payment required.
It also “fails to connect” with laundry machines all the time, after you pay. So you’re forced to pay multiple times until it works, and then you never get the money that didn’t go through back. So for every $20 you deposit in your account, maybe $10 goes to actually paying for laundry and they steal the rest.

Horrendous customer service
Setting aside that the app’s front end design looks like it’s from 1998 and the UI is barely functioning, the back end code is equally faulty - and if you call ClearToken for help you’ll be met with hostility.
Not working
Today we were doing laundry, the app stopped working when it was time to use dryers. I stood there for an hour trying to connect it, still didn’t work. The most stupid app

I’ve lived in two complexes that used this app. Both times it has been ridiculously difficult.
I work in tech and if one of my coworkers made an app like this I would tell them to quit their job. I wouldn’t say it out loud but I would quietly hope they got hit by a car. It’s like they made this app in 2011 and never updated it.
It will not connect to the server with data sometimes, so I have to stand halfway between the laundry room and my apartment to connect to the machines and the server at the same time. If it can’t connect to the server, you cannot view any of the menu options in the app, which makes troubleshooting impossible.

This app has been a pain to deal with, and why do amenities use this!? It’s so annoying when the app doesn’t work it’s been like this for months now, I had no issues at first but now it won’t load when I need it to and it seems so outdated. Someone please maintenance this app! Idk This is my 3rd attempt at trying to wash this week and I can’t get this to work. Fix it please.
