Good, Could Use Some Improvement
The app has good information, however it can sometimes be slow and need refreshing. I would also love an option to manually type in ingredients, as many online stores are not supported it would be great to be able to copy and paste ingredients from other places.

So glad I found this app. I can search for items thru Amazon and this app will tell me all the things that are bad. I love that this app also recommends better options. This app has been so helpful. Love it!
Used to be good
There are products that I know are harmful that are showing up as “good”. For example, I looked up fabric sheets that clearly lists PET which is known to leach Phthalates and it skips over that ingredient and highlights a different ingredient in green. No warnings whatsoever. It seems like they’re going with what the FDA claims is good. Super upsetting because this was one of the apps I trusted. Not any more.

Amazing and easy
I get so overwhelmed with ingredients and fear of bad reproductive endocrine toxitity and this app makes it easy. Although I think USA needs to seriously have better standards for personal care products. Can you guys have this app for processed foods too?!?

So thankful for this app! I appreciate all the hard work you put in to keeping us consumer informed when making decisions that will effect us for a life time. I had no idea how many toxic chemicals we absorb on a daily basis and I had no idea that the US only bans apparently around 11 chemicals in skincare. And Europe bans over 1,300!
I have completely changed all my skin care, beauty products and most other things I allow in my house.

Useless
Every item I click on is either “No ingredients listed” or “ unsupported category”. I’m looking at body butter, body lotion, and lip masks. How are these unsupported? Deleting app, waste of a download.

Best app for clean living
I can’t afford all things clean. This app shows me what’s worst, what’s a better option, and gives me direct access to linked stores like Amazon, Target, Walmart, etc to directly purchase alternative options that are *cleaner* and less toxic. Highly recommend

Alternative Menstrual Products not Supported
I downloaded this app specifically to search for safer alternatives to Thinx underwear in light of their recent settlement RE: PFA use.
Clearya’s own blog discusses period underwear and menstrual cups and specifies that ingredients in period products are covered by the app. But searches for these products indicate they are “not supported.”
Searches for reusable pads don’t bring up the same message so the issue isn’t just lack of a clear ingredient list. Really disappointing.

Game-changer for reducing toxin exposures
SO helpful. After waking up to the formaldehyde, endocrine disrupters and talc in my personal care products I started to feel overwhelmed by the task of deciphering ingredient labels. This app does the work for me and I use it while at Target when choosing between products. I do wish it had a barcode scanner but it’s the best free app available that I’ve tried and it’s been the biggest help in becoming more informed about the products I’m choosing for myself and my family. Just wish j had know about it sooner!
