Cleveland City Dance

Since 1965, dancers throughout Northeast Ohio have pirouetted, glided, and leapt their way to confidence, poise, and excellence at Cleveland City Dance. Offering a variety of professionally taught dance classes for students of all ages, the school has always served as a home for dancers to spread their wings and nurture their passion and talent. Each student is nurtured in a caring, inspiring, and supportive atmosphere to reach their greatest potential. Students are thoughtfully placed according to their individual ability so they can perform to their personal best while building confidence, friendships, artistry and community. Classes include: Ballet Jazz Tap Modern Hip-hop Musical Theater Acro Yoga African Dance Conditioning for strength, flexibility & endurance Cardio Blast Summer camps Summer classes Also available: Private Lessons Studio Rentals The philosophy at Cleveland City Dance is to nurture each student individually. Children grow and mature both physically and mentally at various rates. Ballet classes offer a wonderful way to inspire your children to express their emotions through music, movement, storytelling, and creativity. Additional benefits include learning to appreciate the art form while keeping students active in a fun, graceful and structured environment. Each level has goals and milestones that students work to achieve before moving to the next level. The curriculum is designed to allow students to thrive in each class, to enjoy the process, and to reduce the possibility of injury. Most students will remain at a level for two to three years to build strength, focus and technique. There are seven levels of ballet for children and five levels of ballet for adults. The other genres of dance also have several levels, creating a well-rounded dance curriculum that can reach each student in their learning process.
