Cold water
Work ok when I first got it in summer. Then winter hit. Doesn’t work how it should, I’m constantly having cold showers. I have emailed the company and they don’t bother replying. I wish I never had it installed. I want my money back.
Great app
I’ve been using the Clipsal Cortex app with my home solar system and it’s been really helpful. It’s easy to use and shows me exactly how much energy I’m making and using. I like how I can see when I’m saving money and when I’m sending power back to the grid.
The app helps me understand how to use less power and save more money. Everything is clear and simple to follow. If you have solar at home, I definitely recommend giving this app a try!

Great app
I can finally easily see and manage my home energy consumption real-time and historically. It also shows all my energy bills in one spot and compares to what it could be if I was with another retailer (more competitive prices). The live page is my favourite. Highly recommed this app!

Great View of your Power Usage
I love the Clipsal Cortex App. I can see real time what is consuming power and have used this to maximize my solar savings.
It also enables you to store and track your monthly bills as well as recommends cheaper options available to consider.

Great data and insights
I use this app daily to monitor my overall solar performance - not only for generation but consumption management and overall solar export as well. The Clipsal team have always been responsive and helpful when I have had queries and the app continues to be updated and enhanced with new features such as being able to self- update your electricity plan rates.

I absolutely commend Mitch and his ability to maximise your solar system. But don’t wait talk to him sooner rather than later and get the app working to suit you and the data real. I’m waiting to see how the changes that Mitch and I have worked through translate but so far it seems like a good system & Mitch is very helpful.

Super handy and easy to use
I really like Clipsal Cortex app. Cortex makes monitoring my solar system super easy. I can see instantaneous usage to see where and how the solar power is being used and what is coming from the grid. That makes things simple to manage. It makes monitoring costs easy and gives heaps of useful daily and historical data. It has a cool bill upload function too, which enables the user to compare alternative offers from other energy providers compared to the plan you are currently on. You can also update your own energy rates meaning that the costs the app shows are accurate. Another feature is the ability to contact and communicate with Clipsal through the app about your system and any other questions you may have. Response is good too. Love the app!

Excellent Solar Installation
After much research and a personal recommendation we chose Clipsal Cortex as our preferred installed. After a major renovation the solar installation was perfect and completed as booked. No delays.

New Clipsal app
I had two weeks of difficulty trying to login to the new app.

No Support, no escalation path
Having spent a substantial amount on my Clipsal solar solution including battery, the app is the only mechanism to seek seek support. I’m 4 months into a support fiasco where the battery has not worked from day 1.

New update
Not happy with the new update today. Not working at all…… live feed displays nothing. Usage is missing data. Doesn’t show battery charged, bought from grid or battery level.
Error since last update
Since the last update in September 2022 the 24 hour graph view is no longer displaying. It would be appreciated if this could be fixed soon.
Lacking support
Initially was thrilled with the app as others have outlined but this weekend the flow chart stopped working so I couldn’t tell what I was using from solar and what from the grid.
I couldn’t find a phone number to call support so all I could do was leave a message. Maybe its because it’s weekend that no one has yet got back to me but in this day and age I would have expected some sort of customer service available even on a weekend. Let’s see if someone gets back to me on Monday to sort out the problem 😢

Fantastic app
This app helped us get a great insight into our home’s electricity usage, love how it shows values in dollars and cents. The bill upload system is seamless and helps us stay on top of our bills to get the best possible plan each month. Love it!
An Absolutely indispensable tool
Before Pulse, I had no idea how my solar system was working. Pulse allows me to monitor my system’s components from minute to minute, and how the system as a whole is performing throughout each unfolding period of every day. If something appears amiss, I can at least investigate and even contact Clipsal support - who can see my system in real time and explain what is happening. Pulse tells me how much I have spent on energy each day, what power circuits or appliances spent that money, how much I have earned by exporting surplus power and even what my power bill projection is, and the return on my solar system investment. Outstanding!

Very Basic
Pretty useless app to be honest, does not give you the ability to update tariffs, upload electricity bills. Have to go through the help desk to update a bill in this day and age, which again takes more than a week. Using it for now as it’s on a fre subscription plan, definitely not renewing my subscription.
