What's New in CNC Machinist Calculator App

1.0.2

September 7, 2026

- Switch between inches and millimeters right on every calculator: tap in / mm in the top bar. Your inputs stay put and every result re-renders in your units. - On the keypad, type a value in the other unit and it converts when you tap Done, so a 6 mm end mill in an inch shop is one tap away. - Material, thread and drill lists now follow your units too.

User reviews

Excellent straightforward tool

I’ve had Machinist Calc Pro (both the app and device), and it’s basically a calculator from the 90s, with parameters just held opaquely in memory. In reality, as a hobby manual machinist, my immediate question is "What RPM do I use?" since that’s the primary control I have. This not only gives me that answer, but shows the math used to get it, which lets me be confident that no, I did the math correctly, I’m supposed to run 3000 RPM on my 2000 RPM lathe, it’s fine.

Hats off for a simple but incredibly more useful UI.
