User reviews

Strange interface, needs refinement

The app is pretty confusing to navigate and I'm not quite sure where I need to go to do stuff. This app looks very plain and isn't very useful.

2015-2024 crew 🫡

No nonsense. No imitators. Just a cracking simplistic tap test for checking my athletes CNS/fatigue levels.

App due a refresh

It would be great to see App refresh and the time of day added to the graphs to see best performance?

Stupid. No benefit

This gives you no real information. Ridiculous

If I could return it I would

This app should be free

FAQ

What does the CNS Tap Test app do?

The app measures your central nervous system (CNS) status by adapting the Finger Tap Test. It quantifies your fine motor control based on motor speed and visual-motor ability. Regular use helps you understand your body's readiness for training or potential signs of fatigue.

How does the finger tapping test work?

You rest your hand palm down on a flat surface and tap repeatedly with your index finger for a set timer duration. The app records the number of taps within that time. This data is then used to assess your CNS status.

What do the test results mean?

An elevated result suggests you are ready for maximum effort or heavy lifting. A lower-than-average result may indicate CNS fatigue, potentially signaling impending sickness, injury, or over-training. It's recommended to test consistently, ideally every morning upon waking.

Can I track my progress over time?

Yes, the app allows you to save your test results and view them graphically. You can also email or manage this data from within the application. This trending capability helps you monitor changes in your CNS status.

Is this app compatible with my device?

The application is built using Swift Charts for improved accessibility and legibility, suggesting it is designed for modern iOS devices. Specific compatibility details would typically be found on the app store listing.
