I love this zoo!!!
I have benn coming to this zoo since I was 1 and I have maybe gone 150 times and I just got the app. The app is really good at working out the best route around the zoo and some of the animals are amazing like the sun bears binturongs tigers leopards and lions as well as loads more it is a great day out and I usuallly spend 5-6 hours at the zoo. The habitats are stunning and very good for the animals as they all have a lot of space and the walkthroughs are really fun

Improving app
Hi this app is very useful especially for someone that goes a lot and it has useful information, features and practical stuff needed. The only thing so far I’d like to change to make it easier for me personally is:
When you renew your card online, there should be a box to tick to add digital card to wallet. Because currently you have to scan a barcode or fill in card number and that’s hard work. If it could be implemented in the next update. That would great.

So many great animals like Komodo dragons,Andean condors,BLOODY BINTURONGS! Sun Bears Patagonian Sea Lions , King vulture , Puffershish,Otters,Red Pandas ,Victoria Crowned Pigeon, Wolves ,Hyenas, Bush dogs Green Iguanas etc. Cheebus Christ This place is so good! My Papas favourite part was seeing the Patagonian Sea lion because u can See them from the top But there is a Large glass Tunnel to see the beautiful Sea puppies! The Komodos are so cool and the Andean Condors are Huge like expected! Plus Did I mention that the habitats are fricking amazing!

AMAZING!
Colchester zoo is an amazing place and the Colchester zoo app makes getting around even easier! This is a very family friendly attraction. So many animals, many talks, loads of places to eat, many toilets too and even a few places where you can feed the animals! (Parikeets and goats) It was so fun. There was also a very cute little train with a friendly driver talking us through the history and habitats of the different animals. It was quite easy to find our way around. 100% recommend to small or large families or couples. (Anyone really) Worth the money for sure.

Old app was better
This is a confusing mess of an app. The old app used to show feeding times which was incredibly helpful, why they removed this from the new one is beyond me.

Map hard to read.
Really annoying you can’t just get a paper map at the zoo anymore. Was annoying having to download this at the zoo in a hurry and then click past all the sign ups they try and make you do when all you want is to go an look round the zoo. My son used to really enjoy map reading. The map on the ap is hard to read, drains your battery and I will now have no other use for it.

The app was easy to use and made the one way system more efficient.
We really enjoyed our time. My child was a fledgling keeper and that was amazing!
Social distancing was difficult as some people still don’t understand what it is but that is them not anything the zoo can do!
