Top reviews

Weak

Very poor UI that has removed key features. The dictionary is ok but never updated or improved. App needs audio and a 'back' button - and the removal of the demand for 5 star reviews.

Excellent Resource!

This is the best Italian-English dictionary I have ever used. You can always find what you’re looking for and they provide a lot of helpful examples of how the word is used!

Don’t buy it for travelling

Even though you download the complete dictionary, (112 MB) you need to be connected to wifi/data to use it. What a pain if you’re overseas. Also, you have keep changing the translation direction, for no good reason. Other bilingual dictionaries automatically choose the language. Also, you can’t copy any of the translations. Overall, a disappointing app, despite the brand name. I suggest working to make usability improvements instead of making “colourful themes”.

Great facility

Very easy to use

Basic and a bit annoying

There is an older Collins Italian that is better. I just downloaded this as I forgot I had the other. This one is simplified and hassles you to “rate 5 stars” whenever you open it. Get the other Collins Italian (Collins it-en) instead.

Brilliant

It has everything

Great dictionary for students of Italian

It's really good, lots of examples and explanations. I also have a verb conjugation app and mostly that's all I need to support me learning Italian.
It's probably good for Italian to English as well.

Daily Words

How can I stop Word Of The Day?
RANDOM is useless.

REMOVE NAGGING REVIEW/RATING PROMPT!!!

Please remove annoying review prompt. We've purchased app. Make this something we can turn off in settings.

We should not be 'annoyed into' writing reviews!

Good

Good

Very useful

An invaluable app for my travels and studies

Now stop pestering me

Being pestered all the time to write a review is ANNOYING 😡😡😡

Just what I needed

Great app

Weak

Very poor UI that has removed key features. The dictionary is ok but never updated or improved. App needs audio and a 'back' button - and the removal of the demand for 5 star reviews.

Un-dismissable ratings pestering

Actually a great app, but it features a 'Rate us five stars' pester message that you cannot permanently dismiss.

My most used app

A very good dictionary with lots of examples of how words are used in expressions and phrases. When I look up a word, I often end up browsing related expressions.

Decent digital version of dictionary

This has many more entries than the Mini Gem dictionary from Collins. However, they do not take advantage of this being a digital version of the dictionary.

Unless you need to use offline and you are an advanced student stick with Google Translate and the many flashcard apps that are out there and are frew.

Very good dictionary!!!

It's a great dictionary. I like and use it a lot. After last update I noticed that flash card option doesn't work.
When you click on "more" tab in main screen, all icons there need upgrading to hi def pictures!!!
What I would also like to see is ability to add a chosen word do a favourite folder of your choice. It could have been like that before but now it's somehow awkward.
