Good but not functional

Great premise. Doesn’t recognise colours well though. It literally sees blues as purple or pink and reds or yellows as blues at times.

Fascinating Colours

I never knew my eye colour. It’s complex. I wish I could scan my eyes independently all day. I would love a full list report of every colour so I could research them afterwards. Or see a definition of what the colours mean. I have never seen such detail. I am very happy. My eyes are as confusing of a colour as one could imagine. Never been told my eye could I wish it had more information. I know it’s for locking screens but a listed data set of colours to pick up in a scan would be an interesting feature to be able to break my password codes. I would never feel like my information is in jeopardy again, ever.

Doesn't work

Good idea but doesn't work well with identifying colors

Fun to use

Not very accurate but fun to use Live camera mode

Incorrect Colors Detected

I was checking this app to see if it would work for my son. Horrible detection. Not once did it get the color correct — not even close.

Inaccurate

Even on basic colours is incredibly inaccurate under halogen light. Light needs to be really, really bright to work, and how will a blind person know if the light is bright enough? It's not much better under natural light. Trying a larger colour list didn't help either. I wouldn't use it to make sure my pants matched my shirt.

Nice idea, needs calibration

Colour identification is an incredibly hard thing for a phone camera to do. There's no calibrated light source so it sees a different colour depending on the ambient light and brightness. It had trouble identifying white (said it was grey or rosy) and black (said it was green or grey) objects. Nice features but pretty useless if it can't identify basic colors.

Crashes on launch

I can't even use this app, when I try to launch it I'm brought back to the home screen.

Need to improve

Great idea but need to improve. Accuracy is not satisfactory.

So cool

this app is so cool im not color blind but im an artist and its really helpful to see each color like this.

Not accurate

Got quite a few colors very wrong.

For color blind

Excellent

Great app

This is a must have for people with color blindness! Now I can tell when something is charged(green vs. red LED light. I can call bs when people with color vision jack with me! I love it.

Not colorblind, but...

If I needed to defuse something and/or cut the right wire like they did in Hangover III, this life would be a life-saver.

My Compliments to MGS Apps

Finally, finally some one has used their heads to come up with an app that helps people with any kind issue that has been tossed into the ring of life for those who inherit one form of disability, in this case those who are color blind.

I am not one of those unfortunate people; but, admire and praise any one who has at least made the attempt at using modern devices, iOS or others to provide assistance.

This app is simple to use and works very well.

Thanks, MGS for having the foresight to build a USEFUL app!

I highly recommend it to anyone with color blindness.

Great idea. Tweaks needed.

I was thinking to myself the other day why hasn't anybody ever invented an app to help those who are colorblind. And then I saw this app and was excited. However when I point the camera at a pitch black remote it interprets it as midnight blue which I know is incorrect.

From a Grateful Achromat

Being completely colorblind, I have found this app very handy in my everyday life. From picking out the appropriately colored cupcakes for a party to identifying the color of a folder at work, this app has proven useful time and again. Thanks for being mindful of the contrasts between the color name's font color and its background. A similar app I used to use did not take this into consideration. They had red font on a black background. Not good for the average color-blind user.
Good job, guys!!! Thanks!
