Gut mit Einschränkungen

Es ist okay, wenn Werkzeuge dabei sind, die Flächen automatisch füllen und erkennen. Allerdings könnte es von Eimer zu Stift hin eine Differenzierung geben, um unterschiedliche Kompetenzstufen anzusprechen. Eimer automatisch, Sprühen auch, Pinsel hält Grenzen ein, man muss aber wischen und Stift erkennt keine Grenzen und man muss genau arbeiten. Das fände ich pädagogisch sinnvoller. Datenschutz finde ich auch sehr gut.

Lacking a simple undo button

A lot of fun for my 6yo to settle in at bed time or to just take a break during the day. Only feature that I wish it had was a simple undo button. When he’s using the paint fill option and trying to zoom in to do something smaller, he usually ends up filling something he doesn’t intend to and can’t just simply undo; he’s gotta find the color again, refill, and hope that he doesn’t accidentally fill another color in the process.

Not working on iPad Pro

The game isn’t working on iPad Pro -
despite being offered as working on it. For little kids to color the bigger display on the 12 inch really matters. Bit of a bummer...

Unsre beiden (8 und 6) haben großen Spaß mit der App und verschicken ganz stolz ihre Bilder an Tante, Onkel, Oma und Opa.

Enttäuschend

Die App ermöglicht es dem Kind nicht über eine Flächengrenze malen. Damit ist es eine völlig andere Erfahrung und übt nicht das Einhalten von Flächengrenzen beim Ausmalen. Dies lässt sich auch nicht ausschalten.
In der App selbst werden für Kinder ersichtlich weitere Apps beworben und mit einer „Sicherheitsfunktionen“ geschützt, die kein durchschnittlich intelligentes Kind davon abhält die entsprechenden Apps anzuschauen.
Das auszumalende Bild nimmt einen kleinen Teil des Bildschirms ein und wird von übergroß dimensionierten Flächen für Farbauswahl und Stiftwahl eingeschränkt. Man kann das Bild allerdings zoomen.
Hier sollte nachgebessert werden. Unter „hoher Qualität“ verstehe ich etwas anderes. Wer seine Produkte so bewirbt, muss sich an seinen eigenen Ansprüchen messen lassen. Daher vergebe ich einen Stern. Schade.

Schrecklich

Die App funktioniert sehr schlecht. Meine 5-jährige Tochter hat sofort aufgegeben. Sogar meine kunstbegabt 14 jährige Tochter hat nach wenigen Minuten frustriert aufgegeben. Gutes Konzept, schlechte Umsetzung. Die App ist definitiv nicht ihr Geld wert.
