We found an issue and submitted a bugfix. Please do not delete and re-install the app, but wait for the update to version 4.0.1 --- The new version is online. Please let us know if that helped and if not please contact us via support@onedollarapp.com

Identifies the color whether live from the camera or a photo

I do oil paintings and the challenge is always to isolate a color whether from a live scene or from an image I’m using as reference. This app is exactly what I need, showing the color where the app’s crosshairs are placed. Move the camera so the crosshairs are over the point of color, or if working off from an image in the photo album, move the image behind the crosshairs. The color indicated shows up as a band at the top of the screen, wide enough to make the color very clear and obvious. Excellent! I’m using iPhone 11 ProMax.

Very disappointed

Tested this against a RAL colour chart prior to using it in anger to have a customer colour made for a project. It didn’t agree with the RAL colour chart on any colours so I can’t use it. Waste of money.

Apple Xs iPhone

Purchased shutter blinds that turned out to be made in China. Prior to ordering I had asked the UK Supplier if their blinds were made in Uk and they said yes but after placing my order it was revealed they were made in China. I know I should have cancelled but regrettable let it go ahead. After making enquiry to have the RAL code the supplier said they didn’t have it, therefore fortunately I have been able to match the colour using this APP. Brilliant App and would recommend.

Simple and Efficient Color Picker

As a painter I want to see different subtleties in color and value. If I am struggling to know how to mix a color I can tap to see approximate ratios. I have used another app for awhile but already like the ease of this one better. I also like how I can enlarge and zoom into my photo and rotate it horizontally. Something my other app would not allow me to do. Thank you for making such a great app!

No response

Bought the full-version of this app. So far the app has not locked in to one color. Tried to go to developer website and asked for help but it wanted captcha letters and there wasn't one on the screen. I am using a iPhone 6s. So my feelings so far is not good. Lastly the developers website says first thing if you want it free develop your own app. If you develop app you should want to help your users.

Works !

Never done a review for an app before, but this one is exactly what i was looking for, was looking for a RAL code, brilliant little app !

iPhone 4S

Tried to use this to match the Gelcoat of my boat, and very impressed, matches colour near perfect, especially my teal colour Gelcoat it matched perfectly.
On shiny gelcoat whites thou it does not work great due to shadow and reflection which is we're I realy needed it, this is the camera fault thou not the app.

Very good app and will be keeping.

Very useful

I find this to be a very valuable tool, unlike many other colour pockets it gives RGB and CMYK and RAL values. The only thing that is missing is I'd like to input a value myself, like a RAL code and it would tell me the corresponding RGB numbers.. I await the patch with anticipation..

Crashes preparing camera after ios6

.

Seems good but

Crashes while preparing camera on ios6

DON'T GET.

I wish I could rate 0 stars. Doesn't even stay open for literally one second. Crashes as soon as you open it. These people are idiots. BTW I have iOS 6.

ColorPicker

A waste of time, totally inaccurate when tested on colour swatches as dependent on ambient light, reflected light and colour accuracy of the iphone rendition. forget it and don't bother to upgrade to the full version
