Great app
Great app I love the ability to not use google or apple but I just can’t for the life of me use a map that looks like it is from 1984. The view presented on my car system is terrible. Why would I want my car icon in the centre of my screen with a top down view it is such a bad design. The icon should be at the bottom with a forward perspective view. I don’t always have a destination and use it as a view of what is around me. Fix this and you will have the best mapping/navigation for cars.

einfach und gut
erstaunlich unscheinbar, erstaunlich gut. Die App ist nicht überladen und konzentriert sich auf das wesentliche. Am Ende steht immer wieder ein Aha Effekt und die Einsicht, dass weniger sehr oft mehr ist . Ich nutze diese App gerne auch unter Linux und Android.

The best open source maps app
Awesome, but address lookup is difficult
Searching for a specific address lists all similar addresses but uses the name of the nearest city rather than the appropriate suburb. Can’t be used to navigate across suburbs.
OSM at its best
Großartige OpenSource-Kartenapp (auch) zur Offline-Nutzung von OpenStreetMaps. Frei von Überwachung und Reklamemüll. Gerade Fuß- und Fahrradwege sind hier besser als bei autozentrierten kommerziellen Anbietern. Wer Karten und die zugehörigen Informationen benötigt und auf Satellitenbilder verzichten kann, wird hier fündig.
Daß es notwendig wurde, mit CoMaps einen neuen Fork zu starten, ist bedauerlich aber nachvollziehbar. Hoffentlich belebt dies auch dauerhaft die Weiterentwicklung des Projektes!
Was ich an Featurewünschen aktuell noch hätte, wäre eine zuschaltbare Schummerung und eine vernünftige Tachofunktion für den Einsatz am Fahrrad. Aber sonst: weiter so!

住所で検索できないんですね
小規模店舗名が検索できないのは、ある程度しょうがないのですが、住所で検索できないのは、かなり不便。

Good but needs more features
After using it for a while, I like it so far, the UI isn’t bad and it gets me to places sufficiently without issues. However small little details like the world map being flat and not wrapping around are annoying enough to not recommend for everyone.
My favourite navigation app
It’s free, open source, and very very effective. I’ve used it extensively while hiking, and occasionally while driving to save my phone’s battery. It barely uses any battery, and it’s way better than Google Maps and Apple Maps for outdoor activities
Can't Navigate
I can get to the point of a route drawn on the map, but there is no way for me to actually select a route to get instructions or begin navigating. A drawing on the map is fine if I just needed to check train stops but useless for anything else.

Les cartes sont détaillées et l’esprit communautaire joue à plein.
La navigation par contre c’est… compliqué. Tout d’abord la voix robotique impossible à changer (la sélection effectuée dans l’OS n’est jamais prise en compte), le choix de la langue et de la voix associée est bugé à mort. C’est pas possible que quelqu’un l’ai testé. En l’état on se retrouve avec des instructions qui picotent les oreilles et nous propulse 20 ans en arrière !
En l’état la navigation est pour moi rédhibitoire : je refuse de me taper 500km avec cette voix horrible et sans les instructions la navigation juste avec la carte n’est pas optimale.
Je vais garder pour voir comment ça évolue mais en attendant pour la navigation auto/moto je reste sur Waze.

Je regrette l’absence de vitesse en mode conduite automobile afin de ne pas dépasser la légalité
まだまだ、使いにくいですね
やはり、yahooナビ等と比べると全てに於いて追いついてなく日本語の使用が少ないのと次に移行するのにはどうするの？の解りやすさが無いので他のナビに移行したくなるそんな気持ちになってしまう使いにくさが有ります、ルートの検索も1つしか出て来ないのも良く無いです、私の使い方がまだ未だなのかも知れませんがこの状態ですとこのナビに移り難いかも知れませんね

Truly Open-Source
It’s a confusing scene on the App Store. Lots of apps use open source data, but they render it in a closed source app. Not CoMaps. Here, the spirit of open source is followed through, from data to distribution. So grateful.

Very efficient
The app is simple and clear to use. It makes you download the map data for a region ahead of time, so it doesn’t use your mobile data while you use the app later, as far as I know. Something really nice that I’ve noticed is that while in navigation mode, it’s very light on battery consumption. Other maps apps usually burn through battery quite fast while in navigation mode.

Amazing App
This app is amazing it’s foss and works fully offline. You can even contribute to open street map if you want to improve the maps in your area.
Refreshing privacy-first mapping option
Great for hiking and general mapping needs. I love how data I submit to correct places on the map will remain available in an open source project. The only features that are missing are CarPlay and live traffic data. If this app had those features I would use it for driving as well (and it would replace Google Maps for me).

What's not to like! Finally an offline mapping app that ticks all the boxes!
Parfait
Une app exceptionnelle, gratuite et qui permet d’avoir sa carte hors ligne. C’est également tres simple de contribuer à l’amélioration d’openstreetmap et donc d’aider la communauté. Pas besoin de réseau et peu gourmand en batterie contrairement à de nombreuses autres applis de cartos!
