Sehr gelungenes UI Update
Das UI Update ist sehr gelungen und hebt CoMaps jetzt deutlich von OrganicMaps ab. Details der Karte könnte bei kleineren Zoom Level länger angezeigt werden, hier wird sehr früh die fast leere Karte angezeigt. Eine modernere UI für die Navigation würde die App perfekt machen.
Amazing Offline Maps App
Amazing app, lacks some intuitiveness but I trust that with time the UI will become more UX friendly. Only thing that’s stopping me from moving over from Waze is the underwhelming traffic alerts (speed cameras for example) and lack of traffic information although i trust this will be resolved with time.

Super App
Das neue UI sieht richtig gut aus und lässt sich gut bedienen. Dass man direkt oben auswählen kann, mit welchem verkehrsmittel man unterwegs ist, finde ich genial! Es dürfte allerdings stärker ausgeprägt sein, zum Beispiel könnten die routen deröffentlichen Verkehrsmittel deutlicher hervorgehoben werden, wenn man in der oberen leiste den zug auswählt.
Ich hoffe, dass die routenplanung mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln noch verbessert wird und beim rauszoomen würde ich gerne sehen, welche Bereiche ich bereits heruntergeladen habe.

!!Forced surprise UI change, less screen space!!
If you’re reading this and like the way comaps looks now, DO NOT UPDATE.
The UI (user interface) has been changed to add a large row off icons at the top of the screen, and a large search box at the bottom that CANNOT BE TURNED OFF or hidden.
So now you get less usable screen space to see the map (which is the point of a mapping application).
Yes, ALL icons can be hidden, but then we don’t have the useful ones!
It’s ok to add features that could be useful, but large impact new changes should be optional.
Why can’t we turn off or hide the items that now cover a large part of the map, and are SUPER visually distracting?
Are you trying to be like google / apple / bing maps?

Ich bin froh, mit CoMaps eine kostenlose, funktionierende und ansprechende Navigationsapp gefunden habe, die eine echte Alternative zu anderen Datenkraken oder Abomodellen darstellt. Einen ganz großen Dank an die engagierte Entwicklercommunity!

(1) Privacy; (2) Efficiency; (3) Map and route details; (4) Not cowed by political twits.
(-) Minuses:
(1) No traffic info; (2) Limited public transit route info & capabilities; (3) Clunky point to point routing interface; (4) Search for stops doesn’t make logical choices based on active route (e.g., finds stops that are off-route or behind you).

Perfect
Most other OSM maps are, though usable with a little bit of time, confusing for some or quite a lot of people depending on their design. If you want to recommend someone a map as an aternative to Google/Apple Maps, recommend this one; they will be able to use it instantly and with no hassle. Likewise, I recommend it.

Been using for the past year or so when ads coming to Apple Maps was announced.
The recent UI changes and focusing on contextual searches make it much more viable for me to recommend to anyone, especially for anyone wanting an offline maps app.

oh dear, the button tinkering rot begins....
Why on earth, was there a need to add a 'customisable' button, whose idea was that?! It takes up valuable map space and is in a place that is bound to be tapped accidentally.
Great app
Great app I love the ability to not use google or apple but I just can’t for the life of me use a map that looks like it is from 1984. The view presented on my car system is terrible. Why would I want my car icon in the centre of my screen with a top down view it is such a bad design. The icon should be at the bottom with a forward perspective view. I don’t always have a destination and use it as a view of what is around me. Fix this and you will have the best mapping/navigation for cars.

einfach und gut
erstaunlich unscheinbar, erstaunlich gut. Die App ist nicht überladen und konzentriert sich auf das wesentliche. Am Ende steht immer wieder ein Aha Effekt und die Einsicht, dass weniger sehr oft mehr ist . Ich nutze diese App gerne auch unter Linux und Android.

The best open source maps app
Awesome, but address lookup is difficult
Searching for a specific address lists all similar addresses but uses the name of the nearest city rather than the appropriate suburb. Can’t be used to navigate across suburbs.
OSM at its best
Großartige OpenSource-Kartenapp (auch) zur Offline-Nutzung von OpenStreetMaps. Frei von Überwachung und Reklamemüll. Gerade Fuß- und Fahrradwege sind hier besser als bei autozentrierten kommerziellen Anbietern. Wer Karten und die zugehörigen Informationen benötigt und auf Satellitenbilder verzichten kann, wird hier fündig.
Daß es notwendig wurde, mit CoMaps einen neuen Fork zu starten, ist bedauerlich aber nachvollziehbar. Hoffentlich belebt dies auch dauerhaft die Weiterentwicklung des Projektes!
Was ich an Featurewünschen aktuell noch hätte, wäre eine zuschaltbare Schummerung und eine vernünftige Tachofunktion für den Einsatz am Fahrrad. Aber sonst: weiter so!

住所で検索できないんですね
小規模店舗名が検索できないのは、ある程度しょうがないのですが、住所で検索できないのは、かなり不便。

Good but needs more features
After using it for a while, I like it so far, the UI isn’t bad and it gets me to places sufficiently without issues. However small little details like the world map being flat and not wrapping around are annoying enough to not recommend for everyone.
My favourite navigation app
It’s free, open source, and very very effective. I’ve used it extensively while hiking, and occasionally while driving to save my phone’s battery. It barely uses any battery, and it’s way better than Google Maps and Apple Maps for outdoor activities
Can't Navigate
I can get to the point of a route drawn on the map, but there is no way for me to actually select a route to get instructions or begin navigating. A drawing on the map is fine if I just needed to check train stops but useless for anything else.
