Imaginary naming for the Persian Gulf

I’ve just installed HERE WeGo to test it and seen that the Persian Gulf was wrongly named as an imaginary “Arabian Gulf” one.

This is a strong signal of lack of geographic naming rigour, which is paradoxal for a a geographic app, so I am uninstalling it.

Old Satellite data

directions appear ok but the satellite view is very outdated and needs to be made current. The area I was interested in showed data at least two or three years old.

Gulf of America?

I was originally going to use HERE WeGo as a Google Maps replacement but then I saw Gulf of America. Bootlicking Fascist wannabe’s will not win my loyalty. Map Quest it is. Thank you for making my decision that much easier.

Caters to dictators

I was hoping to find a map service that didn’t cater to authoritarians. Instead, I saw that it had named the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America. Instantly deleted.

Map would be great if they didn’t succumb to changing names of bodies of water whenever the Pedo Prez says so.
