Very basic messy app

This is just not goo enough for an app. Very basic maps not showing what you would expect and width variants of vehicle are not taken into account

Mysterious changes

I’ve had this app for years. I was an early adopter when we were told the purchase was “for life” then suddenly a few years later it wasn’t. !!!
Now suddenly it’s named as if it’s for trucks and tomtom is marketing another app for cars. Come on tomtom, be more transparent. On the use of the app. Sometimes it’s great and sometimes it does very weird things and the spoken description is sometimes way different from that shown on the screen so you really need to pay attention to both. I like the clear mapping.

Confused with the app

Bought this app with high hopes but it struggles to find some locations.

Paid but can’t use

I pay for subscription via website so can switch between iOS/Android without losing service. Finally got renewed via website but it wants my Apple account and not my TomTom account details to start before can enter TomTom account details

Long term user, my favourite satnav, but please, would you add support for UK LTNs, and the like.

I started using TomTom when it was its own lump of plastic with a screen that had to be mounted on your dash and updated via a usb from the computer. The discovered it on iPhone and bought a copy of the app before subscriptions were even a thing.

Life was simple then, road signs were simple, speed cameras few and far between. Emission zones and “Low Traffic Neighbourhoods” a glimmer of an idea in an environmentalists mind.

Now every city had it’s own emissions charges, area have LTNs that you are only allowed to enter if you live on the street, and schools roads have restricted access around school open and close.

TomTom has support for none these modern day complications. The closest is the congestion charges, which it considers as a toll, but at least for UK city’s they have become way more discrete than a flat avoid toll choice can deal with.

Navigation of London is becoming impossible using TomTom in fear of running into an LTN zone, and then getting trapped going around in circles trying to get back out.

Also sort the search feature out, it does the job, but I should be able to find way more than I do.
