Not worth paying
I had to try this because I enjoy TomTom in my jeep gladiator. This is not good. Not even as good as the free TomTom app. It doesn’t show traffic congestion on roads. The speed limits are wrong in multiple locations. There’s one female voice included that provides full voice support.
I can’t believe this required me to waste twenty bucks to try it. On day 1 after one drive, I already cancelled the subscription. TomTom should be ashamed of this app for a paid app. And I actually love the TomTom navigation in my Gladiator, but it never pulls in traffic data and Stellantis can’t fix it.

Horrible App
Doesn’t route for low clearance, shows a hospital that has been closed for 5 years and the only support available is a very poor bot that is of no help whatsoever with no option to contact a human.
I’ve never been 10% as disappointed with an app as this joke. Truly useless garbage.

POI not as extensive as Google Maps
The POIs in Tomtom are still not on par with what Google Maps offers and the menu structure leaves a lot to be desired.
Currently not worth buying.
This is pretty disappointing. There’s no option to simply take the route with the largest roads. I have to have it set in eco as that I find uses more main routes. On the other settings it will often route you down routes that are legal, but that you would never knowing use. Despite downloading all of the maps, I cannot get it to work at all in Europe. It’s a shame, having this on the phone would be perfect if it worked. The best benefit it provides is that you programme in the truck height and that works in the UK. Tom Tom, this needs to improve before my subscription is due. Currently, I would not renew it.

Do not buy! Very very poor!
Terrible!!! I tried entering my vehicle dimensions. It didnt allow me to and kept on jumping to the preset measurements. I didnt realise and it then sent me down a road unsuitable for my lorry. I could not use the app for its intesed purposes, i asked for a refund. Apple rejected it. You will not get your money back when this app doesnt work the way you expect it to!

Woeful. Still
Update a few years on - ive given up completely. Poor routing, the inability to get to favourites or rerouting quickly and a whole bunch of other issues (I have multiple places of work being one) have stopped my using Tom Tom after years of use and working around its quirks.
I’ve had Tomtom for years, a top spec unit, inbuilt sim etc. So when it finally died after 7 years of service (and Tom Tom nuking it the year previous) it’s time to update.
So I tried the app, newly developed, paid for a month expecting a better experience or a comparable one at least. I was so wrong it’s not funny.
The app gets lost (every day), thinks your on different roads (constantly), gives bad directions (turn left - I was on the m57!!)
The list of faults goes on and on. The cherry was it totally falling down in the middle of rush hour Liverpool- where I needed the traffic the most!! (It did sort itself out - 45 minutes later, on a clear m62)
In short, a very sub par effort your expected to pay for!! Not while google maps is free. Glad I wasted only £5 on it instead of the premium unit I was going to buy.

OK - but with two flaws - one fatal
Flaw 1: accessing re-routing should be on the main screen, not hidden two clicks away. Flaw 2 (fatal): If you elect to avoid motorways - it also ignores all dual carriageways. Useless.
Example: st Ives Cornwall to Dorchester Dorset. Should be same as no motorways involved. 166 vs 181 miles and 2h difference as it avoids the A30

Now not working
After the last update, the app no longer announces direction via my car phone. I have spoken at length to customer service. Their answer is that the car connection is no longer supported and there will be no fix forthcoming. I’m now going to request a refund of my annual subscription.
Good, but …
Has all there facilities of a standalone unit, but on long trips especially, it’s important to know how far away the next couple of fuel stops are. The standalone units do, this app doesn’t. Add that and it’s 5 stars.

Rather than just enter desired arrival address
A passage planning system must include for the day of a professional driver optional
start location other to GPS location end location final destination
Quick drop down for next drop off, tipp, unload and or delivery pick up collection
and then listed as the day goes on in chronological order as per the request of the end user
Allow
stops in between with 45 minutes at 4.5 hours driving warning alert before break is required
suggested free parking ie not on double yellow lines,
Red line
Industrial estate 10 minutes before break and with in a radius that would be appropriate for parking
Etc
Keeping professional tachograph compliance in order

Expected better
Been using this app for 2 weeks as an HGV driver working nightshift. Has been fairly accurate in regards traffic/roadworks but has attempted to send me down 7.5t restricted roads multiple times. Ended up lost near Retford one night where I had no phone signal. I’d look at alternatives.

I immediately regretted purchasing TomTom Go. I bought this software to help me navigate safely and securely, but it does the exact opposite. It constantly displays completely incorrect speed limits for both my local roads and unfamiliar areas. I did not pay my hard-earned money for a tool that confuses me and forces me to make dangerous driving mistakes on the road.
To make matters worse, the customer service is practically nonexistent. I tried contacting them to sort this out, but their support is extremely poor—they completely ignored me and never got back to my inquiries. My money is officially gone for absolutely nothing. This entire experience has been disgusting. Avoid this app at all costs.

Do not buy
I have been happy with tomtom for many years but recently I have lots of problems with it. I have this app on my iPhone 16, latest updates installed and plenty of free space. The app constantly locks up requiring a phone reboot or a complete delete and reinstall of the app and maps. Their technical support made me jump through all sorts of hoops and then told me they not fix the issue, they can’t / won’t refund and says it’s apples problem, need to get refund from Apple. Too late for that - 14 days limit passed. Do not buy this app.

Great navigation but slow to update speed limits and cameras
App is pretty good, but very slow to pick up changed speed limits.”, eg London’s 20 mph roll out or motorways where roadworks have finished and the speed limit is back to 70mph. And why the hell is it suddenly for “trucks”?
A waste of money.
Don’t waste your money. It is unable to find routes in the UK except via Belgium! It does not recognise UK postcodes for locations. Unless I am being incredibly dense this is a waste of money. I used TomTom for years but this is unintuitive. I bought this for use with a motorhome thinking it would keep me clear of minor routes, but am unable to use it at all

Peculiar routing
While it looks good and is spot on with traffic, sadly the routing it provides is peculiar. My commute is straightforward yet this app tries to always send me down narrow country lanes (even when I’m travelling at very quiet times). Doesn’t matter if I select ‘fastest’ or ‘shortest’, I get very odd routing every time.
Also, its addresses are often incorrect. Selecting a well know store from the search and it tried to route me to a location over half a mile away.
None of these problems occur with Apple Maps (even though I think they share same data sources?)
Pity, because I’ve long been a TomTom user, but can’t rely on it anymore.

Turn by turn display in binnacle
Asked this before …..When will you develop this app to display turn by turn directions in car instrument binnacles? Apple maps, Google and Waze all have this function enabled. Long overdue in TomTom apps

Good app but outdated speed limit on lots of roads
This seems to be a recent regression where speed limits notice is wrong on many roads. Have the latest app and latest maps downloaded but regularly will show a 40 in a 30 or 60 when it’s 40 etc.
Otherwise app is good and the traffic calculation works well
