Combustible Dust Assessment

An interactive guide for a combustible dust hazard assessment of a workplace facility. Funding and support for this project has been provided by the State of Washington, Department of Labor and Industries, Safety and Health Investment Projects (SHIP). Designed for business owners, safety managers and supervisors, this app provides a self-audit that will help users identify if their facility produces combustible dust. The app educates users about ignition sources and dust accumulation within their work environments. This hazard assessment will guide individuals through a step-by-step self-audit then provide mitigation techniques and control options (both administrative and engineering) appropriate for their specific needs.
