Just bad
If you want to have 3 minute ads play 4-5 times per episode you are trying to watch this is the app for you. The best part is that whatever system they use for determining if you already watched an ad or not is broken! I am trying to watch a show and even rewinding the video causes a 3 minute ad to trigger. Done with this app. I don’t give it 1 star because the UI is pretty good but it means nothing when you can’t even watch the content. I pay $60 a month for dish and have to watch 3 minute ads still. Ill be going elsewhere.

Vertical video and auto-play ??
Why is the iPad app vertical?? It’s been bothering me for months!
UPDATE: the vertical interface has now been bothering me for years! I’ve been a comedy central viewer since the 90s, sneaking Kids in the Hall and old Gilda Radner and Robin Williams (and maybe a little Pryor when the parents weren’t around) stand up sets as a kid, and we even got my very nice very polite mom hooked on South Park! I’ve been watching the daily show since Craig Kilborn and can remember being apprehensive about that new Jon guy taking over.
I just tried to watch Michelle Obama’s Daily Show ep and it just kept starting in the middle of the Eric Andre interview. This has been happening for a week. I deleted the app and reinstalled, and both this and the Nomzamo Mbatha episode straight up won’t play. Michelle Obama I get the spinny wheel, and Nomzamo Mbatha I just get a black screen saying it isn’t available. I’ve probably missed 10 episodes of the daily show in six years overall and to have it melt down while trying to watch Michelle Obama is just too much. I had to come back to write my review.
Please. This app is terrible. Other folks have outlined how terrible it is in technical terms. I’m giving you the emotional plea. I’ve quit watching all sorts of wonderful CC content because of its dysfunction but usually I can get the daily show to work.
I know you can do it. I know you can make it better. Please.

i just wanted south park
Ok yes, this was an app for quality shows. But, i think i watched more ads than actual show time. Like there were 2 ads at the start, the intro, then 5 after the intro, im a bit annoyed by it.
If the ads were 5 seconds and actually entertaining i wouldnt mind but theyre all about 30 seconds, and i feel thats stupid
i also believe that some shows dont want people to screencast a piece of the show, because it could be on a pirated website by now. Some also take an infamous show, post it to their own media and claim it as their own. Piracy is a serious and terrible crime, and plagiarism isnt cool

Confused app
The majority of the negative reviews have the exact same complaints dating back for sometime now. I just re-downloaded app on my new phone (so I can watch my favorite Tosh .0 while traveling) and to my surprise the player still as all the issues people were complaining about long ago. My two biggest complaints are that the app doesn’t keep track of my progression through a series and it will make me watch the exact same commercial back to back 12 times. Both of those make opening this app feel like a struggle instead of entertainment. (this is not a review on Comedy Central but the app itself.)

Like many have experienced great shows, horrendous app
It’s ironic this one of the apps I use mode frequently on my AppleTV, and it is also maddening to use. I can’t believe the number of times I have to re-sign into my provider, even when I have been using it frequently.
Even more maddening, I constantly experience this phenomenon where I’ll be watching a show and in the middle of the show it stops with the message, ‘Sorry, this video is no longer available.’ 80% of the time I quit the app and start again and it works. But sometimes even that doesn’t work.
It’s also amazing in this day and age that the app doesn’t remember on other devices which shows I’ve watched, this works with other apps I sign on with my provider info....
One would think one of the biggest media companies would be able to design a better, more user-friendly app!!!
But I’ll keep watching because they’ve got the shows I watch.....
