Commity is gym accountability with real money on the line. Pin your gym or library, stake $5 to $100 and let GPS confirm you showed up. Show up and you pay $0. Skip a scheduled day and it costs you.
Your first pact is free for 7 days and needs no card. After that you add a card to keep going, and you still pay $0 for as long as you show up.
Free to download, with up to three commitments at a time.
Why it works
Motivation is a night creature. It roars at 3 a.m. "Gym at 7. Library after work." By morning it's gone, and skipping still costs you nothing.
Commity gives skipping a price. The reward for showing up is months away, but the couch pays out immediately. A real stake moves the cost of skipping to right now, where you can feel it. That's what builds discipline and consistency after motivation fades. It's a habit tracker where the streak is actually worth something, and an accountability app that doesn't take your word for it.
How it works
Pin your place. Gym, library, studio, office.
Set your goal. 15 minutes or 2 hours a day, only on days you can honestly make.
Choose your term. Just one day, 1, 2, 4, 8 or 12 weeks, or Ongoing.
Put money on it. $5 to $100, the amount you'd hate to lose.
Sign the pact. A contract with yourself, with your signature.
Once a card is on it, a fixed term can't be cancelled halfway, so week three can't talk you out of the plan week one made.
GPS is your witness
One tap checks you in, and GPS has to confirm you're really there before a single minute counts. The timer only runs inside your circle, and the session ends on its own the moment you hit your goal. Accountability you can't fake from the couch.
Duo challenges
Bring a friend or gym buddy as your accountability partner. Send a link or a code, each make your own pact with your own place, goal and stake, and both end on the same Sunday. You'll know when your partner shows up. Miss a day and you're out. Outlast them and you win.
A missed stake never goes to your partner. It goes to a charity they pick:
• Free: 75% of the missed stake
• Premium: all of it, less only the card fee
A duo always needs a card, and it's all or nothing, so there's no comeback inside one.
Miss a day?
On a solo pact, a miss is never the end. Start your comeback within 30 days, show up five times on days that fit your life, and win back 51% of the charge, or 66% with Premium.
What it's for
• Gym accountability, for routines that keep slipping to tomorrow
• Study accountability, for sessions that never quite happen
• Structure from outside your own head, for ADHD and focus routines
Also in the app
• A study and workout timer that keeps counting in the background
• A habit tracker with streaks, Grit, ranks and badges for every day you show up
• Set days or any 1 to 6 days a week
Commity Premium
An optional monthly subscription:
• Up to 20 commitments at once instead of 3
• Every lost stake goes to a charity you pick, such as UNICEF or WWF, with a monthly receipt by email
• A 66% comeback instead of 51%
• Three Journal posts a day and a checkmark next to your name
Fair by design
If you don't add a card after your free days, your pact pauses and then ends, with nothing charged. Every later pact needs a card from the start.
Stripe stores your card. Nothing is charged when you sign or on a rest day, and money only moves if you bail on the deal you signed yourself. It never goes to another user. If you think a day was recorded wrongly, contact us and we'll review it.
Premium renews automatically every month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your account at confirmation of purchase, and you can manage or cancel your subscription in your account settings.
