Terrible User Interface

This company does not honor refunds for account users that have had difficulty cancelling the subscription. An absolute waste of money. CommuniKate will hold your payment information hostage until you figure it out yourself after jumping through multiple hoops of interface & information.. they need to STOP TAKING ADVANTAGE OF CUSTOMERS! Update your system. The amount of money they make from just a handful of customers has to be astronomical considering the amount you end up paying after a year. Terrible experience. The Amway partnership is just the cherry on top. Frauds.

No refunds - super frustrating

There’s no phone number to contact them and I tried cancelling it before the billing cycle but there was an issue and now they’re saying there’s nothing they can do :(

good except…

I used the service for years and it is a great app. Very effective communication tool! When I went to cancel my subscription they continued charging me despite me requesting multiple times that the service be canceled. There is no way I found to cancel the monthly subscription from the app and required figuring out how to login into the website and spend a good amount of time searching around to find a place to request a cancellation. It feels shady to me that the cancellation of the service is convoluted and challenging.

good, could be better

- Dark mode PLEASE
- car mode when in the “Saved” Kates
- next to the “Sort” in the inbox and new Kate’s there should be a Filter to filter by Urgent or Non urgent, and by sender
- CarPlay app?

New update bug

The app is great however but since iOS 17.4.1 update, there has been no access to the microphone.

Pricy$$$, Outdated, and Difficulty Unsubscribing…

- $36 a month. (This should be enough of a reason tbh). If you’re gonna do the business, I recommend being independent enough to say “no” to this app. Regardless of what your upline might say. They say that your down line will copy you. This is true, but I don’t think $36 a month is worth the material.

- App is very old and outdated. It would be more efficient to use Discord or another free service.

- Very very difficult to unsubscribe… still have yet to do it as I am unsure how.

So hard to cancel

App wasn’t special at all and they charge you $36 a month when you could do everything over regular text or call. They also make it very hard to cancel by contacting them so they can stop charging you.

Deletion

Can’t delete messages no matter what box they are in, individually or selected in groups. Simply refuses to delete. Frustrating—a basic operation.

Persistent problem.

This app took so much money from me.

2023: DOESN’T WORK FULLY

Wasn’t able to add all of the contacts and be able to send them a message and call them through kate as well.

So now I have to call support to solve their lags.

And comparing with other apps I'm assuming it could be easily replaced with Telegram. With finer functionality and probably better level of privacy.

So far this is the most unfriendly 30$+ app I’ve seen.

Think what you’re paying for.

SHADY BUSINESS AND APP

Doesn’t let you cancel. When I tried to cancel I was kicked out of the app and the it kept telling me account has been closed. So I assumed I wouldn’t be charged! BUT I was still getting charged and it’s sooo difficult to cancel even though I had not used the app for months I was still charged for it. Please don’t get this mess if an app.

Frustrating

Can’t cancel subscription… called a number provided and it will just hang up. Looked online everywhere. Tried everything. The app is fine I just use it right now and don’t want it. They make it impossible to unsubscribe

Love Kate, but have a weird glitch

Since I updated my app, I have a weird glitch where my Kate plays on full speaker phone volume when it is not connected to a bluetooth device/AUX cord. I cannot control it via the phone system volume, I have deleted and redownloaded the app, closed and opened the app, and turning the app speaker on and off but to no avail!

Good but fix/add

When ever I’ve listened to a Kate or marked them to delete, the app doesn’t recognize it until you close or reopen (at least in iPhone). Also if you can allow filtering by people or subject, that would be awesome.

This App is not perfect but I love how thoughtful features this app has to offer for effective communication.

Great app, although it could use some upgrades in the UI

Please fix the process of pausing/playing Kates. Being in the middle of listening to a Kate, pausing it, then resuming usually plays a separate kate instead of resuming where I left off. Also, sometimes I click on a Kate and another one plays instead from the ‘New’ list.

I’m running the latest IOS software version, latest app version, on an iphone 12 pro.

Needs support for Apple Watch and CarPlay

Version 6.11 fixed the horrible audio connect glitch when connected to car. So functions well on my phone, but seriously needs support for both Apple Watch and CarPlay. It is a big hindrance on how and when I can listen to Kates.
