BOSE SoundTouch Wifi Connectivity
I have two BOSE SoundTouch 10 speakers. Had to reset them when one stopped responding. As a result, they lost the wifi connection and I lost the stereo pairing. Purchased this app to try to resolve. When the app could find only one of the two speakers. I contacted the developer, Christian by email and explained the issue. Two days and four emails later Christian correctly diagnosed and gave me the fix required to get both speakers working together again on my home wifi. Best $3.99 plus tax I have ever spent. I use Spotify and continue to use the 2ST10s to listen to my podcasts and playlists.

Cannot change to another speaker without it locking up, then that speaker disappears from scan list .
Great App
Thankfully, someone has come along and made a great product even better. Bose couldn’t have handled this retraction much better but, I have to say, this app beats the functionality of the Bose app. Well done Christian and team. Thank you

On peut démarrer les radios en wifi sur les SoundTouch Bose, mais il faut utiliser pour cela votre smartphone. Le développeur a fait plusieurs mises à jour pour véritablement pouvoir utiliser les boutons physiques, mais pour l’instant cela ne fonctionne pas.Et plus gênant , l’application reste en tâche de fond et consomme de la batterie. Il existe une autre application qui fonctionne (Better ST), en remplacement de Bose, une grande marque qui se moque ouvertement de ses clients.

Drops Out!
The streaming audio on Version 1.9.8 drops out for about 1 second every 30 seconds. Very annoying, and basically un-listenable! Too bad, because an older version of this worked fine ... FYI, using iPadOS 18.7.8 and trying to connect to Radio Paradise over wifi.

Since Bose stopped supporting the Soundtouch speaker I lost control of it. This app has revived it. I have an old iPod that Apple doesn't support any more with ios 15. This app allows me to connect and control my Soundtouch speaker. I no longer have TuneIn but it's radio browser is decent. The pre-sets work perfectly. I recommend this app as a replacement for the old Bose Soundbar. Also, I had a question about one feature and the developer contacted me right away. He is very to help me solve my problem. Great App!

Great alternative after Bose left us high and dry
Stumbled across this app in a Reddit thread about Bose Soundtouch shutting down their music streaming. Thanks to this app, I no longer have an expensive Bose brick. I can stream TuneIn stations and it won't tie up my iPad or phone like it would with a Bluetooth connection.

So I paid the one time minimal fee for this App, but of course couldn’t get it to work properly, because I am not tech savvy. In desperation I sent a Help Me message & miraculously Christian got right back to me! I had another question & he got right back to me again!! As I type this, I have music playing on my 3 Bose speakers! So much better than having to run out for new ones!!! This is an excellent App with exceptional support!!!🙂

Alternative zu Bose SoundTouch App
Nachdem Bose seine Server für die SoundTouch Reihe im Mai 2026 abgeschaltet hat, ist dies eine Alternative um die nun nicht mehr Smarten Lautsprecher einfach weiter zu nutzen um Z.B Radio zu hören. Auch Fernbedienung und Preset Tasten am Gerät funktionieren wenn man die Tasten am SoundTouch durch langes Drücken belegt hat. Allerdings muss die App im Hintergrund im heimischen WLAN laufen. Alternativ müsste man mit einem eigenen Server eine Ersatzplattform bauen z.b. mit einem Rasperry PI was allerdings deutlich aufwändiger etwas für Technik Freaks wäre. Anleitungen dazu sind bei YouTube zu finden Netter Kontakt zum Entwickler der persönlich erreichbar ist und auch antwortet! 5 Sterne!

Works better than Bose’s software but requires the phone on the same network for Radio
In general connections are better than with the original Bose software.

Garbage.
The app found my device and my stations on preset. But all I got was garbage for sound. The only clear station sounded like it was on 2x speed.

Bricked my speaker
This app bricked my speaker (SoundTouch 20 series 1) my radio disconnected after Bose switched off the sound touch cloud functionality, so turned to the web for solutions. This app reportedly could help. Installed and very clunky to set up but I got two presets working again but the audio was all choppy, stuttery and broken. So I rebooted the speakers, ans then it was bricked. :( had my speaker working great for the last 12 years. Then this week Bose dropped the radio functionality from it, and this app totally bricked it, so now I can’t even AirPlay or Aux into it any more.

vielen Dank an den/die Entwickler! mit dieser App kann die Bose Soundtouch 20 wie gewohnt weiter genutzt werden, die Stationstasten können auch mit Radiosender und zusätzlich mit direkter Url eines Senders belegt werden. Bei Problemen hilft der Support (Christian) super schnell weiter und gibt die Lösung, besser geht`s nicht. Für die Weiterentwicklung wäre es sehr schön wenn man die Bose anmacht und es direkt läuft ohne das die App gestartet sein muss, dass wäre prima ;-)
