This app has been incorrect for about a month. The direction is TOTALLY OFF! Someone would get lost using this thing!!

Canβt use true north

Appleβs Compass app is unbelievable. Turn βUse True Northβ on and the compass freezes or stops working. Turn it back off and it immediately works again. That completely defeats the purpose of having a True North option in the first place.
Whatβs even more frustrating is that App Store reviews show people have been reporting this exact problem for years, yet Apple still hasnβt fixed it. A compass that canβt reliably switch between magnetic north and true north isnβt much of a compass.
If youβre hiking, camping, navigating, or trying to do something as simple as aim solar panels accurately, this bug makes the feature essentially useless. Apple should either fix it or remove the option instead of leaving users to discover it doesnβt work.

Doesnβt work with iPhone 17
The compass doesnβt work for iPhone 17. Facing North and it shows facing West. Itβs out 90 degrees.
There are 360* not 0
When I go directly north it says 0* but itβs 360* so I would like to complain that it is wrong

Never works right
Iβll literally be headed north on the interstate and check the maps and I know Iβm headed exactly north and it thinks Iβm headed literally any direction but north and it changes. Super inaccurate and thereβs no way to calibrate it if itβs off
