Incredible recording and AI tool!
I looked into the Plaud and Pocket models before deciding to give Comulytic a try. I am primarily using this for recording mine and my ex wife’s conversations for court and custody reasons as the Apple iOS call recording has been unreliable for me and doesn’t always work and just adds a layer of annoyance when Hear recording, she always records our convos and knows that all our communication is recorded and this makes it so much easier to easily record phone calls clearly without a prompt as well as in person meetings. I am an outside, in home sales rep as well and my colleague uses Plaud for the AI summaries for work. I liked that Comulytic initial device cost is less than the other aforementioned devices, as well as free for the AI summaries and allows more free usage than the other platforms that almost make you pay monthly to use them or store in cloud. I am able to use every function I wanted on my new Comulytic pro device without any monthly charges, I also like that it has a screen unlike the other two where I can ensure it’s recording and see battery life. I have been using it quite a bit and is still on full charge after several days and hour long presentations and phone calls. It comes with a magnetic leather sleeve that attaches seamlessly to back of MagSafe iPhone 17pro and looks great and not too bulky. At this point the only thing I don’t understand is the 2 additional MagSafe stick on magnets they provide which aren’t needed unless I guess you don’t want to use the sleeve and just attach the device card itself to your phone(which is nice they provide two extra of these!) but the card is slightly slimmer than those rings and would hang off of each side if used that way, so I don’t see anyone doing that unless maybe lost the sleeve. They could have made the device perhaps 4-6 mm wider and it would have fit perfectly and still fit on back of phone perfectly. But again, I don’t use it this way also it’s really irrelevant and again just nice they provide this option. The only other nitpicking thing(because everything is great!), just to provide some feedback is the magnetic usb charger is similar to a female sex toy magnetic charger that have to place on just perfectly so doesn’t come off. Seems would make more sense to make it charge with regular MagSafe charger since it is already MagSafe connecting to phone (or maybe that’s what the additional adhesive rings are for to charge it this way?) There are 4 metal dots and then included charger to attach this to charge the device. Which again, the battery life is extraordinary so this isn’t a big deal either and I’m sure did this to save space to keep it so slim to not require a usb hole. Also smartly, the sleeve has a cut out for charging so don’t have to remove from sleeve because it is a tight fit and not easy to remove from sleeve although there is a thumb cut out too to assist with this.
Overall I am extremely satisfied with my purchase, I am glad I didn’t purchase the more expensive pocket or plaud devices because more well known or popular and that the Comulytic has a small screen to assure it’s charged and recording. The AI summaries are great, transcriptions are accurate as well. It clearly records in person voices even with the device in my pocket and can easily decipher which person is speaking and can include their and your name in transcripts. This will help a ton with my custody and divorce and also with my career.
One thing I just realized though, it seems could very easily just be an app can already download to do all of this without needing an external device and there may be one, I’m not sure but I’m sure is high monthly charge if so, but the nice thing about this is saves everything in its own cloud not taking up device storage or personal cloud storage and can easily take with you anywhere and use on any device. Again, I am very happy with the purchase and would highly recommended it over any competitors!

Incredible support and it simply works as needed.

Not a real transcript
The app doesn’t actually ever fully transcribes. It just offers a summary, and then a more “in depth” summary. But if you’re looking for 1:1 transcription this isn’t it. They must be trying to save on ai costs. For a $100+ device it’s ridiculous.
