Useless & Frustrating
The contractor on my remolding project is attempting to utilize CO for communicating and archiving information. The difficulties I have experienced in the past several months are difficulty accessing the program, information disappearing and returning in the future, and difficulty receiving project photos (I am told they cannot be uploaded).
I think the concept great, but the execution difficulties render the program useless for my purposes.

Getting there…
I’m a Residential GC. I’ve been using Construction Online for a while now, mostly for estimating, proposals and invoicing. I’m just beginning to get deeper in to the capabilities. So for construction online, definitely 5 stars, and the support is the best I’ve seen in any industry. Not cheap, but I tried others and they’re the best.
As for the app, it’s pretty good for what it does, but I’d like more capabilities, ESPECIALLY for iPad. I don’t want to bring my laptop everywhere. iPad Pros are now as powerful as laptops and could easily handle it. There doesn’t seem to be much focus on app development unfortunately. So for what it has and what it does, 3 stars, and for what it’s missing, 2 star deduction.
And skip the bad reviews. They’re old and the app has come a long way.

Great App for a Great Software
I’ve been using ConstructionOnline for almost two years, and I never cease to be impressed by the new improvements they put out. The web version is constantly getting updates and new features and the Mobile App always stays faithful to what’s going on on the web version. Great for keeping in touch with my guys in the field or with my back office.

Needs Lots of Improvement
I appreciate the fact that you’re trying to improve this app but your constant updates and so called “bug fixes” do not help and are not fixes. You are moving 2 steps forward and 3 steps back. There are still a multitude of issues within the app that NEED to be addressed. Especially the time tracking section, the daily log notes are rarely saved and delete by themselves even while typing in. Other times worked hours on previous days don’t show up on the calendar. The easy solution to a lot of these hiccups and bugs is to restart the app, but this shouldn’t have to be the solution to fix these issues. I have to use this app everyday and its a headache to use, seriously I just want to scream into a pillow. Please fix these issues devs I really don’t want to lose my vocal cords. Thanks

iPad compatibility is terrible
UDA as a construction suite is good enough, and the team behind it are responsive and generally helpful. However when I’m in the field I use my iPad as a primary tool for documentation and communication. I’ve found the compatibility here with UDA is just terrible. There are lots of missing option that are normally available in the desktop/web application. Filtering /adding contacts takes a long time. No way to view/update gannt chart. And the redline plan room is clunky and unresponsive. I’m typically better off using something like good notes or Morpholio trace. It would be nice for the purposes of containing client communication to a single, simple platform, that redline actually be useful.

Formatting on iPhone 11
The app goes across the iPhone sensor lip making it hard to use top navigation icons. Traditional iPhones would work fine.

Don't think the developers would even be capable of sweeping a construction site, let alone building this app, tons of bugs and crashes, wastes more time than it saves, I would say you can still use website but they destroyed that too trying to make it look pretty. Not here for pretty, just need function and reliable so I can get work done, not frustration and missing pen and paper

What an amazing app!
The ConstructionOnline app is fantastic. It allows me to manage every aspect of my projects from my phone or tablet... I think my favorite feature is being able to upload and access project files and photos - that way my team and clients can stay updated on what’s going on.

This seems to always be riddled with bugs look elsewhere for construction apps. Support staff is also very rude and condescending
Builder’s dream come true! (if you have a vision)
We have been using Construction Suite and Construction Online on our computers for over 1 year. It is very comprehensive SW that would make your life easier once you spend enough time to understand how it actually works (will require time to grasp all that it has). This app allows us to bring the SW power to any where. Check progression of all projects, show estimate to a client, notes, pics directly from the job site.
I have never tried using it as a tool to create estimates or Gantt charts. Would probably be too complicated for us based on level of details we need.
Anyways, great app. Awesome addition to CO product offering. We love it.

Early signs are positive, what about Android?
The general contractor I work for as a PA are beginning to use Con Online, early signs are very positive. So far I love the mobile app and can definitely see using it for the work crew to clock in and out of work while on job sites. But many of them don’t use iOS.
Any plans to roll out Android compatibility???
