What's New in ProPlans

2026.9.14

September 15, 2026

Added • Project owners and admins can turn on a join link and QR code for a project, show the QR full screen for someone to scan, share the link, and download it as a poster to print. The code is a tap away from the project's menu and from Contacts, and the owner and admins get a New member notification when someone joins with it. • Join a project by scanning its QR code, following its link, or entering its code from the menu. If you are not signed in yet, the app remembers the project while you sign in or create an account. • You can @mention someone in a chat message, the way you already could in a To-Do comment. They get a notification, and tapping it opens the conversation. • Web links in chat messages and To-Do comments are now tappable and open in your browser. • In Contacts, swipe a person's row to the right for Message, which opens your direct conversation with them or starts one. • Notes, To-Do comments and a task's work details all take attachments through the same paper clip as Messages: pictures and video from your gallery, a picture from the camera, or a document from the project's library. • A video attached to a note, a comment or a task shows a thumbnail while it is being prepared and plays once it is ready. • A To-Do comment can now carry several pictures or videos at once, as one comment. • Your profile now shows how much storage your projects use, the same figure as at the top of the project list, and tapping it opens the breakdown by project. • The storage screen now shows your plan's limit, with a bar for what is left that shrinks as space is used and turns red when less than a tenth remains, and a button to account management. • When your account has used the storage its plan allows, the app tells you how much you are using and what the plan includes. You can still open, download and delete everything; adding files, projects, notes, messages and comments picks up again once you free up space or upgrade. • Messages, task comments, notes and task details written in another language now appear in yours, with a Show original link to see what was actually written. • Notifications for new messages and task comments now show the start of the message, in your language. Changed • Staying signed in now lasts as long as you keep using the app; you are only asked to sign in again after 90 days away. • Resetting your password now signs you out everywhere, so a new password ends any session someone else had. • Signing out on one device no longer signs you out on your other devices. • Sign-up invitation links now open the app directly when it is installed, instead of a web page. • Opening an email link on a phone without the app now shows the store buttons straight away, instead of a spinner first. • To-Do comments now look and behave like chat messages: the same bubbles, names and times, and the same composer, with each comment still coloured by its author's role. • Contacts gives the invite form more room, and the people in it sit on the panel's own colour instead of on raised cards. • An account whose plan's storage allowance is not yet known is treated as having 1 GB, on the storage screen and when adding to a project. • Your profile now shows the plan your account is on — Free, Select or PRO — instead of always saying Standard. • The app says Sign in and Sign out where it used to say Login and Logout. • A note added to a sheet now arrives as a New Note notification, with its own badge and the name of who added it, instead of a generic markup one. • In a note, Delete is now a trash-can icon and Edit sits under the note's text, so the two are no longer side by side and easy to mix up. • A request that fails because your connection blipped, or because the server was briefly unavailable, is tried again a couple of times before you see an error. Fixed • A note or task added by someone else now appears while you are looking at the sheet, instead of only after reopening the panel. • The app no longer signs you out when…

POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FAKE! Riddled with stupid problems

App is awesome in theory. Terrible in execution. Logging in is a nightmare. Switch into and out of menus is a disaster. Account management is impossible from an iPhone. Link takes you back to a browser which doesn’t work. Constantly forces you to log back in. The account management feature is totally broken. Essentially everything we attempted to get this app operational was a failure. It’s like these developers never attempted even once to setup an account as a new user. App looks amazing in theory, terrible in execution.

Response from developer

MrTyGuy, this one was a little painful for all of us to read, but honestly, you weren’t wrong. When you tried ProPlans, we still had some real problems with login, account setup, navigation, and the app/browser experience. We’ve made a ton of changes since then, including fixing the issues you called out. ProPlans today is a very different app from the version you were using. We certainly don’t expect you to come back and change your review, but we wanted you to know we read it, took it seriously, have kept working, and will continue to keep working on the product. Thanks for trying it in the first place.
