About

Contacts to Excel turns your address book into a spreadsheet you can actually use. Pick who goes in: search, filter by group, or take the whole address book. Pick what goes in: names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, companies, birthdays and the rest. Then look at the real table before the file is written, so nothing surprises you afterwards. NOTHING LEAVES YOUR IPHONE The app has no networking code of its own. It reads your contacts, builds the file on the device, and hands it to the share sheet. Turn on airplane mode and export anyway if you want to see for yourself. There is no account, no server and no analytics of any kind. ONE COLUMN PER VALUE Three phone numbers means three columns, each with its own label, instead of three numbers crammed into one cell. Postal addresses are split into street, city, state, ZIP and country, so a mail merge works. Custom labels you typed yourself are kept. NUMBERS STAY NUMBERS Every cell is written as text, so a phone number starting with a plus sign and a ZIP code starting with a zero arrive exactly as they are instead of being reinterpreted by the spreadsheet. FORMATS THAT OTHER APPS ACCEPT Excel (.xlsx) opens in Excel, Numbers and Google Sheets. CSV is saved as UTF-8 with the byte-order mark Excel expects. vCard (.vcf) carries every field. For CSV there are column layouts named after where the file is going, so Google Contacts and Outlook can import it without you renaming headers. BUILT FOR A REAL ADDRESS BOOK Twenty thousand contacts export in about a second. Contacts synced from Exchange or Google accounts are included, and duplicates across accounts come through as one person. FREE FOR 25 CONTACTS Try it on any 25 contacts you choose, with every field and every format. Exporting more is one payment of $6.99. There is no subscription and nothing else to buy, ever.
