So you gotta pay $4.45 a month for a offline feature…
Is Canon now owned by BMW? It does not make sense you have to pay a offline “feature” monthly for your $4,700 camera (Canon xf605).
It did not work, I opened settings (crank icon), and toggle usb c function, I set as Canon app for iPhone, and absolutely nothing happened, went to files: nothing. Visited Photos, and I’m still waiting for the “import” option.
This app needs work.

Subscription?
Why the heck does this now need to be a subscription - not like you’re sending through any Canon servers / services - just another way to screw a few quid out of the freelancer.
USB does not work
I can only connect to the camera over Wi-Fi. The camera does not recognize my iPhone 8plus via USB. I used apple’s USB-C to lightning cable, I used adapters… no luck.
Otherwise, it seems to work. I have no idea why one needs to pay $5 a month for this except it’s a way to get more money from large news organizations, which I am not. Especially as you can’t even transfer to your phone without paying. A bit of a joke.
