Good start
I enjoy using this app for a variety of purposes because of the detail in the photographs, and often target inferencing or prediction besides conversation (collecting my own data outside the app). One suggestion I have for this app is to include more multicultural people in the pictures. My students are not all one race, but the majority of the pictures I have seen lately depict Caucasian people only. If that was updated, I would consider giving 5 stars.

Flawed
There are aspects of this app that I like very much, however I think the difference between the 3 answers should be less subtle or there should be an easier level to choose between 2 possible answers that are more distinct. My students are easily frustrated and discouraged by making so many errors and don't understand why the answer was "wrong". Better to have more concrete differences and the slp can explain more easily why one answer was better than another.

Interactive with Great Feedback
I use this in speech language therapy with great success. Features include sharing, recording options, content and level options and an archive to demonstrate growth. My students love it.
Love it!
I love this app! It's amazing- getting to hear my most severely autistic clients play back their voices in a connected conversation. GREAT App!
Mobile Education is awesome!!!
Conversation Builder is by far on of the best apps out there for child who have trouble with social skills. It helps them to figure out how to talk to other children and that goes a long way to helping them overcome social anxiety. This is great for children who have mild Autism or Asperger's.
Must have
Wow! Beautiful image scenes that promote conversation in a wide variety of settings. Voice recording option and ability to have conversation with another user. Another amazing app by mobile education store!
Limited Starter
I used this with students with significant needs. It was easy to use. It is a bit limited for a $20 app. Leaves the kids wanting more. Would be nice if it had a little more to it.
One of the best
The Builder apps are awesome and this one does not disappoint. All of my kids love working on their convo skills with this app. I love the various settings such as peer, student or random initiation and I really like that we can show the history of the convo. I have used this with kids as young as 8 and as old as 16 with great success for all of them. Being able to save each completed convo is great. I have reviewed them with the kids as well as their parents. I would love to see this app have the answer choices read to you like in the teen version.

Keep it interesting
Interesting photos full of life and color keep my son interested. Differnt modes to gear towards what your child is most interested in. Multiple choices help those that aren't quite sure and helps build confidence. Gives achievement awards as well, great postive feedback. A+
A real help
A great app to help a child learn how to carry on a conversation or start a conversation. Social skills are so important. My kids liked recording their part of the conversation and playing it back. One thing they did ask if the got a response wrong was "why". I would like to see an explanation added to the program. You can also record a group having a conversation which they really liked as well. Great app!

Awesome app
Vivid pictures that stimulate conversation. The user would need to have some reading ability to use it independently. If you are looking for an app that prompts and records, then this is the app for you.
Mobile Ed ROCKS the house with this great app!
Conversation Builder is a must have app if you have a clients or a child with pragmatic issues. The app involves beautiful social image scenes with the ability to record audio that goes along with these scenes. Students state what they would say in the scene that is captured. This app gives the student the ability to set up a single conversation or a conversation with 2 students. Go ahead and add this app to your list of AWESOME apps! The new update gives you all of the conversations, too! I like the recent update where I can choose to cancel a group conversation.

Great special needs app
As a parent and an educator, I love these apps. As a parent, they are easy enough to use and to be useful. As an educator, there is enough content to go deeper with. Another must have in a great series of helpful app.
This app is crisp, helpful and easy to operate. The developer is quick to fix any issue may have and or answer questions.
I like how kids can record their own responses to the situations that are presented on the pictures. Parents and teacher can then go back and talk about how their response was appropriate or now and what they could change if they needed to.

I love all the new updates. This app keeps growing and becoming more useful every time.

Amazing App
This is a truly amazing app. I have never seen my daughter so enthralled with an app. Her conversation skills have improved by leaps and bounds. I recommend this app to anyone with a child struggling with conversation and pragmatic language.
Very good
As an elementary school English as a second language teacher, I find that many of Mobile Education Stores' apps are great! Conversation Builder is great because it focuses on social skills as well as social language. I have used it only in the mode that has students choose the best (out of three) possible questions or statements to interact with a child in a photo on the screen. For example, if you're at a lake and you see a kid who caught a fish, would you say, "Fish have gills not lungs," "I have a fish named Dorthy" or, "Cool! You got one!" If the student chooses an awkward sentence for the social interaction, an encouraging voice says something like, "That's not the best way to start a conversation. Try again." When the student chooses correctly, she records herself using those words. The iPad then responds with the next sentence or question. What comes out of the work is a recording of socially appropriate language with a corresponding pictures that can be archived as a sort of language sample. Very cool! One thing that would improve this app is if the language choices were read aloud by the iPad so that non-readers could access the app independent of a peer or adult who can do the reading.

Waste of time and money
One of the worst apps I have bought. Expensive for an app at $20 and then to learn their is virtually no content lessons included... they have to be bought separately. Don't waste your money.
The best, BUT
This app has been my all time fave, and it's a wonderful teaching tool for all ages!! It opens all kinds of doors to learning! We now make our own conversation builders with photos of our own kids. On a sad note, lately the app consistently crashes just as we are about to play back our conversations. I do hope this can be fixed as this app is otherwise priceless!

Mrs
My daughter has developmental problems and we bought this to help her as suggested by her therapist. she does like it but its very American with phrases like 'whats up' which she wouldn't normally say. So far it has been very helpful and no problems with the actual app itself.
Great app
Well it is great, I mean it IS great. I, having high functioning autism and aspergers, really would like to have this app forever. My mom at least told me to have this app to improve my conversation[So that I can go meet new friends in senior section or high-school(equivalent of middle-school in British system)] and who knows, maybe to meet new friends in my supposed school when I'll go to the US or abroad(Maybe next year).
However, it really doesn't apply too much to our culture(I mean, I'm from Bangladesh, in South Asia) and yes, most of us are Muslims and we, especially women, hardly ever westernize so much. It still may need conversation suited for students from a more different culture(Eg: conversation with a Chinese American or maybe an Indian American) and country as well. Well it is some sort of good app but I highly recommend this app for those who want to talk to people while reading in a western college or university and going around the town.

Love it!
We just love this app! Great for my autistic son who has limited speech and needs help getting his sentences ordered and socially acceptable. His face when he heard his voice played back in a conversation was really something to see. This app would suit any age with speech and social issues. We love the other apps produced by this company too.
If I had just one wish I would like to take out some of the words which only appertain to the USA which is why it didnt quite make five stars, otherwise brilliant. Please can we have some more modules!
