Awful Way to Communicate Internally

Convo is great in theory, but terrible in reality. Imagine having an infinite feed with no real way to prioritize messages or way to track them for follow up. Then add in a buggy interface that has erratic and unpredictable responsiveness to clicking on the “more” and “like” options. Finally, your messages may or may not send, and sometimes send 3 or 4 times.

Now imagine all your internal conversations are on there. People ask questions and share important materials. But, due to the lack of ability to really curate anything important, it gets lost in the feed.

Finally imagine an annoying notification system that is maybe the only way to determine what you should focus on, but that the notifications rarely clear themselves.

What you end up with is a junk feed of gifs and likes. And a feed where the same question or issue from a team member reappears or resurfaces every 2 or 3 weeks.

I would never recommend this to a company that actually wants to get work done and share knowledge.

Not just “Like”

We should have the option to love posts, be inspired by posts, be sad…etc…quick reaction options

No sound

It’s a great app, sounds doesn’t work for some users though.

Worst app

I use this app to check my schedule but it brings me to the webpage instead, what a waste of my phone storage. What’s the point of the app if I can just use the website instead.

App keeps crashing before I can signup

The app keeps crashing before I can sign up to my business. I can't get past the signup page.

You lost me at WHOOPSIE

When I signed my little team up for this group chat app, It was free for small groups up to 15. Today my desktop screen says whoopsie you’ve exceeded your free account requirements. Well we haven’t done anything different.

You’ve changed something and now it’s only free if you have 5 users. You now want $10/month per user. My very small business team of 6 would have to pay $60/month. Ugh, no thank you. 😭

First of all five is too small of a group for most people to try it and $10/mo per user is too much $ for what you offer. Sorry but you lost me at Whoopsie.

We were willing to use the free version with all the restrictions because we really just need to share text messages and small docs and maybe a video or screen shot every now and then.

It’s really no different than a Facebook group or conversations in Asana. So there I will go. FOR FREE.

Great for my team at work

Good

Please add an option for right to left direction as default

Better than Cats

It's a great app.

Awesome

Love to communicate with my group through Convo.

I love it.

Great!

Good app

Handy app, works well and keeps you connected on the go.

I love ConVo

Use this app with my work team, and I love it. It's beautiful, well designed and makes email irrelevant.

Slick companion to web/desktop apps

Does everything you'd expect for the mobile version of the web app. My preferred way of accessing Convo and early bugs have all now been ironed out for a slick & quick experience.

Pretty good - needs a few things for 5 stars

I've tried Slack, Ryver, Moxtra, RocketChat, and others, and Convo is showing the most promise, mainly due to its ability to annotate images. I would however need three key features for it to be my top choice:

1/ Ability to edit a post after posting
2/ Ability to do ad-hoc group calls (audio-only is fine; audio+screen-sharing would be ideal)
3/ Google Drive integration

Also would love to always view a post's comments in threaded view, or flattened but with option to sort by most recent comments first (reverse chronological)

Bonus: Integrations with Gitlab, Jira, and the like

Excellent Collaboration Platform

UPDATE: Convo is STILL my team's go-to virtual office. It's an asset to my company and allows for real-time communication and collaboration between all team members.

Get Convo if you want your team connected and engaged!

No support for freelancers?

I am a freelance entertainment tech specialist, downloaded this app expecting to be able to sign up with my own email then add workmates via their emails. I can't even get to that stage due to a lack of support for non company emails. Sadly limiting.

Lacking

Missing retina support and feels non-native (obviously jQuery Mobile or something similar).

Great main product iPhone app a bit buggy

Use Convo at work and used to use iPhone app to keep in the loop but this update doesn't work at all it just sits there with a Convo logo. Cmon guys you have a great new product don't use us as testers to iron out bugs!
