Can’t find search function on iPad version; navigation not clear. Far better to sign into Cook’s using browser.
A Real “Go To” App
Excellent recipes with detailed explanations of the underlying science a technique. They provide a sound foundation that can easily be adapted to other dishes
Total ripoff. DON't bother buying this "app".
Only 50 "recipes"-- if you consider "perfect scrambled eggs", "garlic mashed potatoes", "foolproof vinaigrette", and "ultimate oven fries" recipes. This is so basic it's laughable. I will not trust Cook's Illustrated in the future.

Save Your Money
I s expecting a digital version of CI's 20 Years anniversary cookbook. This "app" is really just a revved up eBook with only a few of the recipes from the book. It felt like a bait & switch. However the recipes are good ones for basic dishes. Nothing fancy here.
Not a Total Waste
I think this app for a mere 99 cents is not all that bad. I like the convenience of an app when I need to make something in a flash. Cooks Illustrated consistently has good recipes.

I had high expectations but feel let down. The presentatio is not inspiring at all. The recepies are not what the title suggests.. a complete waste of money buying this app.

When page is turned app shuts down. Able to access content only one at a time from contents page. Better to buy the book. Very disappointed!!!

I am disappointed with this app. My "Cook's Illustrated" magazine that came today said their were 88 foolproof recipes. I counted and there are only 52. I buy many of their cookbooks and magazines but I am sorry I bought this.
Expensive
This app is very expensive for its content. Don't buy it it's not worth it. All the recipes can be found online anyways.
Disappointed
I love cooks and was more than happy to pay $10 for what i assumed was a digital edition of the best recipe cookbook. In fact, this app contains only about 50 recipes, a tiny fraction of the number in the printed edition of the cookbook *of the same name.*
Cooks, you have a fantastic brand. Don't sully it by misleading your loyal customers this way.

Totally Misleading
Actually if you look at the description of this app or should I say digital magazine, it shows a recipe for ultimate fried chicken which isn't even among the limited 54 recipes that they give you. My recommendation stay away from this app it's a bait and switch.
MISLEADING and OVERPRICED
I purchased this thinking it was an app. It is not. It is basically a special edition cookbook magazine. Just a list with recipes. The recipes are really good, just not what I thought I was purchasing.
Overpriced
If you buy this, know that it is NOT a cookbook. It is 52 recipes. It's got the great Cook's Illustrated long discussions about technique that are always fun, but this is WAY overpriced for what is essentially a special edition of the magazine.

Misleading
I thought this was an app, but it turns out to be only one issue, and throughout this issue it's trying to get you to subscribe to get others.
The Best
This is one of the BEST cooking apps to have. It has all you will need to cook and so helpful. I have subscribed to the magazine but this is even better as has all you will need to cook different dishes. THANKS for making this awesome app.
