A very good sounding synth, but preset system is problematic
Response from developer
Are you placing your custom presets in your own bank and not altering the default presets? The default presets will be replaced each time we install a new version of the app. This bank is reserved for me to add and expand upon the presets that ship with Copperhead. I will certainly check into whether there is an issue with other banks but since I have multiple people working on new preset packs I would have thought they would have come across this by now if it was a general issue. Have you uninstalled the app at all? When uninstalling all your presets will be removed. NOTE: Just performed a couple of re-installations and all my custom banks (I have 6) and the contents of my user bank are intact, so I can only assume you saved your presets in the 'Default' bank.

Might be the most feature packed synth along with woodman's wood synth.
Love this one
Nice but….
Great Synth with Fun Features
There are amazing features. Not least is the preset banks by the amazing sound designer Spidercemides! You can essentially dump all his presets into a favorites folder. But don’t. If you decide to remove a preset from the Favorites folder you’ll end up deleting the preset from just about everywhere. A small bug which I’m sure will be fixed. I needed to reinstall the app to recover the presets.
Another amazing feature is the waveform editor. It has something I’ve never seen before, a slider for each fundamental of a sound wave! This is a big deal. You can design some extraordinary sounds and learn about how sounds are made with this tool. I’ve never seen it before and i have a ton of synths. One thing missing however is a way to save the sounds you’ve designed. It will be there when you save the preset of course but it would be nice to develop an original sound library.
The only very minor problem i have is the the menu diving needed to open some critical windows like ‘effects’ and ‘favorites.’ It’s only three taps to get to the window but other designers have brought you these windows a bit less clumsily.
Another problem is there’s no way to access the developer’s page… if it even exists. I’m surprised because this is a major developer with an awesome offering of apps. If you hit the developer’s website link you’ll basically be forwarded to a management consultant company which I’m pretty sure is the furthest thing from music as a business can be.
Overall, a great synth and an incredible value!
