Very disappointing app

Downloaded the app with all the excitement while I was touring Acropolis. It integrated camera and info panels with poor customer experience and don’t know anyone even used this or tested this in real world. With thousands of people around us, I looked like a fool to try to use this app. Developers of this app - Pl take a look at the usage and try to simplify the experience. Another annoying thing is - every time I touch a spot, it tries to download XX MBs of data. For international travelers- every MB is cost!

Cool idea, really annoying to use

Great idea with cool images but ultimately VERY annoying to use. Example, you have to find the information sign for the building first before it will launch the AR images. You switch to take a photo and the app needs to restart and you have to go back to the sign to get the app to work again. Plus ot takes forever to load

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. COSMOTE Chronos has been designed to offer both onsite and offsite experiences. Onsite, scanning the panel overlays the 3D model onto the actual ruins, while offsite users can place the model anywhere they wish with just one click—no panel required. The “I’m elsewhere” mode is indeed part of the app, and it should be available to you without scanning signs onsite. We’re continuously improving the app, and your comments help us make the experience better.

@$&@#

Doesn’t work as it should. The mode “I’m elsewhere” is simply not available.
Which genius had the idea that you have to scan signs onsite? Did you ever test your software and had an awesome customer experience?
The Greek way of doing things obviously!

Did nothing

The app downloads, and you are instructed to find a placard at different points on Acropolis hill , scan the placard. I found one & only one next to the Parthenon. Scanning it did nothing on multiple phones.

Don’t waste your time

Hello! If the issue remains, please send an email to appstoresupport.GRC02@COSMOTE.gr with more information to look into it.

Limited capabilities

I tried the App at home! First it needed to download data in order to play, then I couldn’t get an overview of the monument in one video and had to rotate and twist in order to get into the monument. I didn’t want to use up memory to download each one before viewing. It needs refinement: recommend one video that you can pause at any time to get more information. Good start though and excellent graphics. History and architecture come alive!

Complete waste of time

Tried using the app while visiting the acropolis in the morning when the crowds were not too much. Even then, it would not load since it wants to download updates at the last minute (since they want to force you to use cellular data) and with the high number of people, it’s almost impossible. Corporate greed ruins it again!!

Let people download all needed data before they get to the acropolis. If the app does not work, there is no point!! People visiting don’t have much time inside!!

A bit clunky

I was super excited to try this out with my family while visiting the Acropolis. Also, very cool that it is free. Unfortunately, it was not very useful. If you flip between apps, the chronos app has to totally restart. So, if I navigated away to take a picture, I had to wait for the app to reboot to use it again. The generated scenes were cool but limited, they only worked if you stood in a specific point and scanned the info signs. I spent most of my time waiting for the app to boot up and drained most of the data on my international plan. I only successfully used it at one location.

We apologize for the negative experience you had. Our goal is to continuously enhance the app and improve its features. We hope you give us the opportunity in the future to change the impression you currently have.

Like a Magical “Chronoscope” for viewing the Past!

This app is a wonderful gift to everyone with an interest in Greek antiquity and classical architecture. Although I haven’t yet had the thrill of actually visiting the Acropolis, I’ve enjoyed using the app in North America.

I have two suggestions for improvements. Add control of the vertical angle of view to the navigation. Make it possible to take screen shots without the overlay of control icons.

Thanks for making this app available for free.

doesnt work. bad design

it’s tied to “scanning” things that don’t work. why do that? stupid..

Did not work!

Says that you do not need cell phone reception for this app to work. That is not true. The guided audio tour would not load consistently for us. It only worked on one monument which was the lowest. Once we went to high elevation, the app was useless. We regret not paying for the self-guided audio tour that comes with buying tickets.

You can see the digital representations of the monuments and have an audio tour when you have: a. Android 4G device with ARcore and running Android 10 and above b. Apple 4G device with ARkit and iOS 11.0 or higher. c. Connect to a 4G or WiFi network with a speed of 48Mbps.

Είναι απλά μια απαίσια εφαρμογή. Κακοδουλεμένη και δυστυχώς non-native iOS development.
