CoughWise records your night on your iPhone and lets you hear it back. It counts possible cough-like sounds, and separately it ranks the night's own moments — so even a night that counted nothing still hands you something worth listening to.

ABOUT THE COUNT, PLAINLY
CoughWise counts possible cough-like sounds. It may miss some and may count other sounds. This is an estimate for awareness, not a measurement or medical assessment. That sentence is on the morning report itself, not only on this page.
NIGHTS THAT DID NOT GO TO PLAN
A night that ended early is labelled partial. A night CoughWise could not analyse says exactly that, and shows no score, no count and no all-clear — because "there is no record of this night" and "this night was quiet" are not the same fact, and only one of them has been measured. The home-screen widget publishes nothing it cannot speak for, and clears rather than leaving yesterday's number under today's date.
AND THE NIGHT ITSELF IS HARD TO LOSE
The recording is written to disk as it goes and picked up again on the next launch, so a crash, a phone call, a flat battery or a full disk costs you the rest of the night rather than all of it. Nights you star are never removed by the automatic clean-up.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Recording, playback, analysis, corrections, reminders, profiles and exports all run on this iPhone. Audio is never uploaded. There is no CoughWise account to create, no analytics or advertising SDK, and no tracking identifier. Purchases are handled by Apple. Delete a single night, or erase everything, in More.
