What's New in Counting Trucks ELD
3.0.3+303
August 27, 2026
We fixed an issue where the app could show an out-of-date timezone if it was left running in the background for an extended period, such as on a tablet mounted in a truck cab. The app now refreshes this information each time it returns to the foreground, so logs always reflect the correct local time even if an administrator changes the organization's timezone remotely. For eligible drivers, we added an optional toggle when logging Sleeper Berth status, allowing them to mark a rest period as the short portion of a split sleeper berth break, in line with federal Hours of Service split-sleeper provisions. We also improved how the app handles daily vehicle inspection reports. Drivers now get a clear reminder if their inspection report for the day is still incomplete, explaining that it needs to be finished in our companion driver app before it will be marked complete. This works alongside a new, separate companion app (Counting Trucks Driver) we introduced for drivers to complete their pre-trip vehicle inspections from their personal phone.
