What's New in Creature Clash

1.98.250

May 17, 2026

Every battle now opens with a portrait. The faces of who you fight appear before the cards do — elite, boss, friend, foe. The story breathes wider. New dialogue beats, more voices, more reasons to linger along the Stone Path. Choose from a wider cast when you begin your journey. New elites stand watch in the zones. New bosses wait at the end of them. Plus the kind of fixes that don't make headlines but make a difference.

An interesting idea that’s missing something

The game is an interesting concept and has some fun mechanics. It’s got some interesting strategy choices with the different creatures you can bring into battle and the abilities they bring. The music and sound effects are decent.

However, I feel like it’s missing polish. To start with, you can only pick between a white man (default, with blond hair and blue eyes) or white woman until you go through the initial training. Then you can change to a medium or dark-skinned man or woman, rather than presenting those options at the start.

There’s also a lack of visual consistency. UI looks totally different from the environment, which looks different than the creatures. Even the UI isn’t always consistent in appearance. Most visuals are 2D, but some are strangely low-res 3D that clips.

This game is marketed towards kids but there’s addictive mechanics like daily rewards or rewards every few hours. Playing takes energy that recharges over time. There’s also the typical large amount of microtransactions to speed things up, get more energy, get better things, etc. You don’t really need any of it to play, but it could be easy for kids to get addicted and spend a lot of money on it.

I think with more polish and less addictive mechanics the game would be better. Overall 3/5. Not a bad experience but definitely still needs some work.
