Great all-in-one tool for long-haul pilots
I’ve been using CrewRest on long-haul flights and it’s much more than just a rest calculator.
On a recent SYD–LAX flight with 4 pilots, I entered the flight times and the app generated the crew rest schedule with a clear timeline and different rest strategies. It’s very easy to adjust the plan and immediately see how much rest each pilot gets.
What I really like is having other useful information in the same app. It includes fatigue assessment, cosmic radiation exposure estimates, time-zone information and jet-lag/circadian awareness, plus weather information for the flight. Having all of this together is especially useful on ultra-long-haul operations crossing multiple time zones.
The interface is clean and quick to use, and the core tools are available offline, which is important onboard.
A very practical app clearly designed with long-haul pilots in mind. I’ll definitely keep using it.
