I hated podcasts, especially true crime, until I was introduced to CJ. Someone got me a subscription to the app as a birth day present and it is one of my favourite gifts. Absolutely love the AudioChuck team.

Crime Junkie Fan Club is not only an amazing place for all of us “die hard Crime Junkies” but a place where you can go not only see the documents and source material, but really get a grasp on cases that are alike! Knowing SO MANY of my favorite Podcasts are under this one app makes life so much easier!

Supercharged Research!
Ashley and Brit do some amazing research. Forgive me for not knowing the names of who else does all their investigative work, but suffice it to say, they’re incredible. The podcast production is excellent as well. But what makes this show so meaningful is all the support the entire team has given to the people whose lives they have touched. Thank goodness for their work ethic and commitment to this podcast.

Problems
I find constant problems with the app and I love crime junkie. I wish it wasn’t such an issue going from Patreon to this, I have paid to upgrade my membership to full access and it’s just not giving me the content on the app but is showing elsewhere. I’ve got an email confirming it all from crime junkie. Just a pain I wish it was more simple.

Best crime podcast
When I found this podcast, I have been hooked. I listen everyday to and from work which is 65 miles one way. Also listen at work. Ashley and Brit are awesome!!!

Easy to use. Very nice to have all Audio Chucks podcasts in one spot. The filtering of the episode is great. I used other ways to listen but this app is by far the best.
Photos - big plus!
The photos for the cases are enough to make paying for the fan club membership worth it! Truly a game changer when you can visualize what’s happening & put faces to the names instead of having to search through months of social media posts. Also, obviously the ad-free is so nice for continuous listening.
4 stars instead of 5 simply for app development things that could be modified. There’s no general memory in the app, so every time I open it up, I’m brought back to the main page & have to re-filter episodes. Minor inconvenience. Mostly I wish there were more ways to filter/group/create a playlist of episodes. Sometimes I wanna skip certain episodes to go back to later, but the only way to clear it from my feed is to “mark as played” - aka grouping it with everything I’ve already listened to. Nor is there anyway to “star” (i.e. favorite/bookmark) an episode. App would be much more user-friendly & preferable to other apps if I had ways of marking/grouping episodes for easier reference later.

It’s great when it works
I love Crime Junkie and have been listening for years. I finally decided to join the Fan Club for more episodes, no commercials, and a carefree way of listening. I love the concept of all of the productions in one app but it’s more of a pain/nuisance that I pay for. This app just needs some revamping. Trying to listen to a new episode and the app plays a previously listened to episode, or it jumps in at the end and I have to stop whatever I’m doing to try to make it work. I’m going to stick out the year since I have a year subscription and hopefully there are updates/changes.

Needs Some Work
I love crime junkie and am so glad they have an ad free app. However, the app is a bit glitchy and definitely needs some work. At times, I attempt to play a different episode, but it continues to play the episode I am currently on. This happens frequently and requires me restarting the app completely.

I have just stumbled upon this podcast last week & I am mostly loving it!!
I would say the ONE thing that is more annoying than the Ad breaks is Britt!! I have listened to 10or so episodes and I don’t think she has contributed productively once! She interrupts the host with a very high pitched, nasally voice, & a “pick me” attitude to add useless cometary. You can tell the host is not impressed at times and brushes her off like a child who is annoying but you still have to be nice to lol. The episode “Killer on the high bridge” is brutal for her interrupting with U S E L E S S commentary.

App not same quality as content
Audiochuck content is always top notch…. They need their app dev team to have the same standards!
The app refreshes itself all the time even if you don’t close it AND it doesn’t keep the episode you were listening to up so you have to dig around for it every time you pause for a minute.
Imagine reading a book and using a bookmark but then putting the book back in a sea of books every time you pause even for a minute. Then you have to play find and seek to find your book again.

Love it so much
I started as just a crime junkie fan. I love how the app gives me extra content with Ash and Brit. It’s amazing to have access to other shows from audio chuck like: so super, the deck, park predators, dark Downeast and more.
Love listening to crime podcasts
I find both speakers voices so relaxing and the stories are interesting and captivates me I just recently just started listening and started on Spotify and just joined the fan club and it is very informative and love that there are update episodes when they come out I have been recommending the podcast to several people!

App gets stuck at the beginning and never loads

It’s so crazy because I randomly stumbled across yall a couple weeks ago- and decided to start from the beginning (2017/2018). I do A LOT of driving for work- and funny enough here i am 2 weeks in- and just listened to yall talk about your 30th bday and 1yr anniversary….. like did i really just listen to a year in the matter of 2 weeks?! Keep going strong girls- my commute literally depends on it! lol
